Centre for the Study of European Labour Law

Website of the Centre for the Study of European Labour Law at the University of Catania, set up in 1996 by Massimo D’Antona. The focus of the Centre is European social integration, the labour market and social protection systems. The Centre makes available a Working Papers Collection covering EU social law and policy, labour law and industrial relations. The papers are brought together a series of online volumes, Biblioteca 20 Maggio, which can be browsed or searched back to 2003. The papers are mostly in Italian with some in English.

EU Exit Web Archive

The EU Exit Web Archive, maintained by the National Archives, is an online archive of documents providing an official UK reference point for EU law as it stood at the end of the Brexit implementation period. This collection consists of documents taken from EUR-Lex, including Treaties, legislative documents, case law, and the Official Journal of the EU, published up until 11pm GMT on December 31st 2020. The Archive can be searched using filters including keyword, type, date of document, status at EU exit, and language.

European Judicial Training Network (EJTN)

The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) is a training organisation for judges, prosecutors and judicial trainers across Europe developing training standards, coordinating judicial training exchanges and promoting cooperation between EU judicial training institutions. The site has a list of member countries, details of training projects and information about the exchange programme for judicial authorities which aims to raise awareness of other judicial systems in the EU. A database of resources including training materials, reports and case studies are freely available on the site.

Equality Law in Europe: A New Generation

Equality Law in Europe is a legal research project by researchers at the Academy of European Law at the European University Institute. The aim of the project is to provide information about using European equality law, including details of how to make a claim to equal treatment. The project researchers have compiled a database of discrimination cases of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) decided between 1970-2018, which is available on its website. Cases are presented on an Excel spreadsheet and include the date, case number and party name.

Brexit: Research and Analysis

This part of the UK Parliament website provides information on Brexit compiled by Parliament's libraries and committees. Briefing papers and articles, written by experts, are provided on the site covering the Brexit process, the withdrawal negotiations and role of Parliament in the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union. There are also sections providing research on the implications of Brexit for UK trade, business, the law, defence, farming, the environment and social policy. 

Brexit Legal (An Irish Guide)

Brexit Legal is a guide for Irish businesses, compiled by Irish law firm, McMahon Legal. It covers customs procedures and forms, rules of origin, free movement and the EU customs code. There is a section on Brexit issues relating to Northern Ireland and background information on EU law and EU institutions.

The Federal Trust for Education and Research

Website of the Federal Trust, a research charity “studying the interactions between regional, national, European and global levels of government”. Articles and pamphlets are made freely available on the site. These cover devolution in the UK, the UK constitution and the effects of Brexit on the European Court of Justice and international trade. There are also details of events held by the Federal Trust.

European Forum of Official Gazettes

European Forum of Official Gazettes website. The service was developed in 2004 by the organisations responsible for publishing the official gazettes of the European Union Member States and the EU Publications Office with the aim of exchanging ideas and information on publication processes, technology and best practices between the official publishers. In addition the Forum includes information about selected legal gazettes of countries outside the European Union. The Forum secretariat is provided by the EU Publications Office in Luxembourg. Access involves self-created account.

General Report on the Activities of the European Union

This website provides access to the full text of all the official EU annual reports from 1997 to date, giving an overview of all EU activities and policy. Topics covered include: European integration, progress towards European Union enlargement, finance and budgets, the work of individual institutions such as the European Commission, the development of EU law, the work of the intergovernmental conference and progress in the field of human rights. There is a search facility covering the full text of all the reports from 2003 onwards.
