The European Journal of Legal Studies (EJLS) is an open access peer-reviewed electronic journal covering comparative, international and European law and legal theory. It was launched by the Law Department of the European University Institute in April 2007. EJLS is a multilingual publication, but a large proportion of the articles are in English. It can be browsed by issue and there is also a search facility.

It focuses on comparative law and the harmonisation of law within the European Union. The website provides details of research projects and staff of the institute. The Commission on European Family Law (CEFL) is based at the Molengraaff Institute for Private Law, University of Utrecht. It is made up of European experts in family and comparative law. The aim of CEFL is to further the harmonisation of family law in Europe through the creation of a set of Principles of European Family Law. This online oral history project, by Professor Don Smith of the Sturm College of Law, Denver University, looks at the career of Judge David Edward, a member of the Court of Justice of the European Communities from 1992 to 2004. The project website includes video interviews about his life and work, published papers, pictures and personal memories. There is background information about the project, together with biographical details and speeches. Interview transcripts can be downloaded and articles and papers written by David Edward are available from 1979 onwards.
N-Lex provides a single search interface that can be used to search any of the national legislation websites of the EU member states. The search page is available in all 24 EU official languages. When searching by key words, either machine translation or the multilingual Eurovoc thesaurus can be used to translate them. For each state there is also general information about the types of legislation produced and the website to which the N-Lex search interface applies.
