Description:

This database is a project of the Election Law Program at The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, made freely available online in partnership with the SCOTUSblog website. The database provides case summaries, comprehensive court filings and expert commentary about important election law cases from around the United States. The case tracker can be searched by date, name, state, status and topic. Along with the case summaries there are links to associated court documents. It is also possible to view all cases relating to the 2020 presidential election results. A number of guides explaining various aspects of US election law are also given including due process and election administration, Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, the Purcell Principle and the Democracy Canon.
