Online catalogue of British Privy Council appeals from the 13 colonies that became the United States and from colonies in Canada and the Caribbean heard before the creation of the United States Supreme Court in in 1789. The catalogue was compiled by Sharon Hamby O’Connor and Mary Sarah Bilder and made freely available online by the Ames Foundation in the United States. The catalogue can be searched using a simple keyword search option or by party, participants or counsel. Appeals can also be browsed by colony. Links are given to digital images of original documents. Background information to the catalogue content and guidance on searching is also given on the site.
