Description:
The Animal Legal and Historical Center is based at Michigan State University. It provides provides free online access to primary legal materials and guides to the law relating to animals, including animal rights, dog fighting and exotic pets. US laws and cases are arranged by state or subject and there is also information about the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The emphasis of the site is on US law, but it includes some legal material from other countries. Other services provided on the site a collection of pleadings and legal briefs, journal articles and historical materials.
