The Center works with legal professionals and governmental and non-governmental organisations to improve access to justice for victims of gender-based violence. Its work includes providing legal research assistance to judges, undertaking project work, providing online legal resources and hosting conferences and events. A selection of treaties and other regional and international documents relating to gender-based violence can be accessed on the site, along with statutes and case law from around the world. United Nations conventions and resolutions, consensus documents and Security Council resolutions relevant to gender-based violence are also provided. There are also links to the websites of related UN Treaty Monitoring Bodies and International Criminal Tribunals and Special Courts, regional human rights systems and to cases from the domestic courts of individual countries.
