The International Union of Notaries is a non-governmental organisation that co-ordinates and develops the notarial profession around the world. Its website provides information about the Union, including its statutes and bye-laws, and lists the national notarial bodies that belong to it. The functions and ethical principles of the notarial profession are outlined. The Services section has information for the general public, including guidance on the requirements in European countries for buying property and protecting the vulnerable, and on European marriage and partnership laws. Lexicon, a glossary of notarial terms in different languages, is available for download. There are details of the Union's sale publications, together with subscription information for the International Notarial Review (RIN). The site is available in English, Spanish or French.
