Online guide to government and primary legal materials of Venezuela written by Luis Bergolla a J.S.D. candidate Stanford Law School and Visiting Scholar at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law. The guide was published in 2006 (and updated in 2022) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides background information to Venezuela and descriptions of the various forms of government including the executive, legislative, judicial, citizen and electoral powers. There is an outline of the legislative process and links to the websites of the various governmental bodies. The guide gives information on sources of Venezuelan legislation both printed and online and details of Venezuelan legislation in English. There is also information on and links to sources of judicial decisions and a bibliography of key texts on Venezuelan law in English.
