Rhode Island Bar Association

Website of the Rhode Island Bar Association (RIBA), the organisation representing the legal profession in the state of Rhode Island in the United States. The site has information relating to the structure and governance of the RIBA and includes information for members and the general public. Details are given of the RIBA's committees, bylaws and Continuing Legal Education seminars. There is a link to the Rhode Island Judiciary. A selection of pamphlets aimed at the public provide information on subjects such as buying a house, making a will, divorce and jury service.

Human Rights and Democracy reports

This site provides access to all the Human Rights and Democracy annual reports published by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 1998 onwards. They provide detailed information on the strategy and actions of the British government in promoting human rights abroad. They also include comments on FCO activity by the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Comittee and key NGO bodies.

Pennsylvania Bar Association

Website of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) who represent the legal profession in Pennsylvania in the United States. The website has information about the PBA including its history, bylaws and details of the various committees and sections. There are summaries of lawyer discipline cases and background information about Pennsylvania's legal system and courts along with a glossary of legal terms.

Oregon State Bar

Website of the Oregon State Bar (OSB) the organisation representing the legal profession in Oregon in the United States. The site provides information about the OSB including contact details for staff and information about the work of the individual sections. Information supplied for members includes details of Continuing Legal Education seminars, links to Oregon courts, legislation and government sites, ethics opinions which can be searched or browsed by date and a membership directory.

Oregon State Bar Bulletin

The Oregon State Bar Bulletin is published by the Oregon State Bar, the organisation that represents the legal profession in Oregon in the United States. The bulletin is made freely available on their website (in HTML) providing access to full-text articles, letters and legal practice tips. The emphasis is on Oregon law and legal developments along with news from the Oregon State Bar. An online archive is available back to 2000 but older issues have only selected articles available in full.

Union Du Maghreb Arabe

This is the official website of the Arab Maghreb Union, the international organisation which seeks closer social, political and economic cooperation between the Maghreb Arab nations. Members include: Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Mauritania and Algeria. It provides information on the aims of the organisation, facts about its member nations and details of recent activities, conferences and summits. It also includes access to the full-text of recent economic trade agreements and treaties signed by the group. The site is offered in French or Arabic.

Equality Studies Centre

The website of the Equality Studies Centre at University College Dublin. The main aims of the Centre are to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of equality, to promote greater understanding and concern for equality in Ireland and internationally, and to undertake and promote research on equality issues. The Centre engages in teaching, research and a programme called Outreach, directed towards equality activists and community workers.

Ohio State Bar Association

Website of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) a voluntary association representing members of the legal profession practising in Ohio in the US. The OSBA website provides information about the Bar Association including a calendar of events and a membership directory. For the public there are a selection of full-text pamphlets on a range of legal subjects made freely available in HTML. Subjects covered include Ohio's marriage laws, Ohio's court system, buying a home, intellectual property rights and living wills.
