World Intellectual Property Organization: Database of WIPO Cases and WIPO Panel Decisions

A free database of internet domain name dispute cases, provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva. The Center offers alternative dispute resolution services in international commercial disputes between private parties. All the domain name cases back to 1999 are available in the database, searchable by domain name, key word, party names or case number. The full text of the decisions is available. The site also provides indexes of decisions by domain name category and by legal point, together with lists of the most-cited cases.

Institute for the Study of Genocide

A website promoting the work of the Institute for the Study of Genocide. There is general information about the Institute and the issues they are involved with. The ISG newsletter is available online in full-text back to 2004. The site also carries a bibliography of basic genocide books, a list of genocide websites, the text of the UN Genocide Convention and social scientists' definitions of genocide.

Kozolchyk National Law Center

Non-profit research and legal reform organisation, formerly known as the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade. NatLaw was founded by Boris Kokzolchyk, Evo DeConcini Professor Emeritus of Law at the University of Arizona. It carries out research into commercial laws and practices of different countries in order to harmonise and standardise the legal infrastructure and eliminate trade barriers. The Resources page includes a link to a subscription-based database of Latin American legislation, cases and commentary, in Spanish.

Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, University of Minnesota

Website of the Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, at the University of Minnesota in the United States. The site includes educational resources relating to the Nazi holocaust and genocide studies in general, including video and audio materials, personal narratives and photographs. There is also a searchable database of relevant books and articles. Information is provided about the work of the Centre and its newsletter is available from the Fall 1999 issue onwards.

Institute for Human Rights, Åbo Akademi University

The Institute for Human Rights is part of the Department of Law at the Åbo Akademi University, Finland. Its main areas of research are the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples; economic and social rights; non-discrimination; fundamental standards of humanity; participation and democracy; and human rights in domestic legal systems. The Institute is the Finnish documentation centre for literature on human rights and a Council of Europe depository library for information concerning the European Convention on Human Rights. Legislationline

Legislationline is a website provided by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), which is part of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). It consists primarily of a database of selected legal texts from countries within the OSCE region, as well as international legal materials. The purpose of this database is to provide examples of domestic legislation and international standards for the use of lawmakers in OSCE participating states.

World Organization Against Torture

The World Organization Against Torture is a non-profit human rights advocacy group that brings together NGOs focusing on prevention of torture, summary executions, enforced disappearances and related issues. The website provides policy documents, reports, statements, case studies, a blog, a podcast and other outputs. It also makes available the organization's Global Torture Index, which analyses each country's performance against international human rights standards. The site is in English, Spanish and French.

Genocide Studies Program, Macmillan Center for International and Area Studies

Website providing information about the Genocide Studies Program at Yale University. The Program was founded in 1998. Its projects include research into genocide in Rwanda, Cambodia, East Timor, Sudan and Former Yugoslavia. Searchable bibliographic, biographic, geographic, and photographic databases are available on the site, together with full-text papers and articles.

Genocide Watch

NGO campaigning against genocide. The website includes news, a collection of country reports, podcasts. There is information about genocide prevention, international institutions and particular issues such as islamophobia, anti-semitism, homophobia, forced deportation and racism. There is an overview of the ten stages of genocide, with a map showing which stages are currently happening in different parts of the world.
