The Web Journal of Current Legal Issues was the first UK general law journal to be published purely electronically on the web. The award-winning journal contains refereed scholarly articles, comments and case notes and is published bi-monthly by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. The focus of the journal is on current legal issues in judicial decisions, law reform, legislation, legal research, policy related socio-legal research, legal education, information technology and practice. While the focus of the journal is on current legal issues in the United Kingdom (including European Union matters), the editors also welcome articles adopting a comparative approach and are keen to encourage academic debate by including responses to articles or comments previously published. The site provides online full-text issues of the journal from issue 1 (1995) onwards, together with a search facility. The site includes guidance notes for potential authors and option to join an email discussion list.
