State Statutes on the internet : family law

Description:

This is one section of a page of the Legal Information Institute internet gateway which is part of Cornell Law School in New York State. There is an alphabetical list of the individual states of the United States with links through to the state legislature websites. These in most cases have the full-text of the state statutes from the late 1990s onwards, relating to family law which covers children, marital and domestic relations, as well as other subject areas. Some of these documents are divided into sections to aid down loading, and in many cases are available in several different formats including portable document format, rich text and Microsoft Word. Many of the state legislature sites have databases of statutes. A minority of the state statutes are not accessible free of charge, and require a user name and password. The page also has links to other sections of the Legal Information Institute site relating to the law on adoption, divorce, the emancipation of children, and marriage.
