Website of the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law a non-profit organisation which is based in Illinois in the United States. The Center carries out legal and policy research and provides legal services to low-income clients. The site has information about the Center's work which includes community investment, housing and advocacy. The Center produces various newsletters which are made freely available on the website and articles which are posted in HTML format. The monthly Illinois Welfare News contains updates on legislation and research covering welfare and housing issues. WomanView is an occasional newsletter focusing on legal issues affecting low income women and Poverty Law News is the Center's weekly news feed. The Poverty Law Library has a selection of cases organised by subject including civil rights, immigration, disability, employment, environmental justice, health, housing, prisons, taxation and welfare.
