The Finnish Financial Supervision Authority (FSA) "supervises financial markets and participants" in Finland. The FSA works in connection with the Bank of Finland, but is independent and takes its mandate from the Act on FSA of 1993 (included in an English-language version). The site presents various documents pertaining to the FSA's strategy, procedure, objectives and history. News, updates, annual reports and some articles are presented, and longer documents are in PDF. Many of the FSA's guidelines and regulations are available in unofficial English-language versions (as the Finnish and Swedish versions only are legally binding), and these include material on credit institutions, money laundering, customer protection, financial statements and auditing. A series of FAQs covers topics such as money laundering, the securities market, consumer protection, and credit risk. A list of entities supervised by the FSA is included. A useful site map and links section is available under "site information". The site is available in Finnish, English and Swedish.
