The Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development (ACJRD Ltd.) was established by Irish lawyers in 1996, under the name ‘Irish Association for the Study of Delinquency’. Its aim is to promote the reform and development of the criminal justice system in Ireland, by means of research and the sharing of best practice. The Publications section of the ACJRD website provides its research reports, conference reports, lectures and newsletter; one of the research reports, ‘Literature Review and System Review’, includes a bibliography of Irish youth justice and criminal justice covering the period 2000 to 2005. ACJRD submissions to government consultations are available on the Development. The website also describes the structure and activities of the Association and its working groups.
