Juricaf: la jurisprudence francophone des cours suprêmes

Collection of judgments from the highest French-speaking national and regional courts, provided free of charge by AHJUCAF, the Association of Francophone Supreme Courts (L'association des cours judiciaires suprêmes francophones), in partnership with the Université Paris I. As well as individual African, European, South-East Asian and American jurisdictions, Juricaf covers the courts of international organisations such as the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEDAC) and the Council of Europe.

Free website providing a directory of more than 5,000 accredited criminal justice courses available in the United States, together with careers articles and interviews with criminal justice experts from academia, legal practice and the police force. All degree levels are covered by the directory, including doctoral programmes, and it includes a variety of specialisms, such as court reporting, juvenile justice, criminology, counter-terrorism, IT, international criminal justice and legal studies.

Collection of legal materials relating to business and company law in Chad, on Droit-Afrique.Com, a web portal to business law in French-speaking Africa. The site gives details of pan-African organisations of which Chad is a member and provides fiscal, commercial, welfare, investment and mining laws of the country. There is a page of links to the websites of African organisations and other sites providing legal information on Chad. The site is in French only.

Law and Legal Systems in Madagascar: A Political Siege

Online guide to the legal system of Madagascar, the independent African state in the Indian ocean, compiled by political analyst Kevashinee Pillay and admitted attorney Aviva Zimbris. The guide was published in 2013 (and updated by Alan Behaja in 2024) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors give the historical background and an outline of the political systems and governance, including a consideration of issues relating to the implementation of the Malagasy constitution.

Empirical Research

A comprehensive online research guide describing resources useful for empirical legal research including information on data sets and statistical packages, compiled by Alissa Black-Doward at Fordham University Law Library. The guide identifies relevant online and print resources including collections of statistics, empirical legal research centres, websites, books, journals and articles.

Collected Travaux Préparatoires

Directory of travaux préparatoires (preparatory documents) for treaties, provided by the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale University. Lists travaux préparatoires that have been published in printed form and/or online. Includes contents pages for many items and has links to some full-text documents. The directory is an ongoing project and new contributions are invited.
