Database of Recommendations made freely available by the Irish Labour Court (An Chuirt Oibreachais) an industrial relations tribunal which deals with disputes concerning industrial relations, minimum wage and equality issues in Ireland. All the cases are grouped into 4 categories- dispute type, legislative type, case number and alphabetically by party. This enables you to locate cases by searching or browsing. Dispute type organises cases under subject headings such as overtime, harassment, pensions and working time.
CariLaw is a subscription database of Commonwealth Caribbean primary legal materials, produced by the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies in partnership with legal technology company vLex. The database provides access to legislation, treaties and case law from the Privy Council, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Judgements on the site include those decided by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the Supreme or High courts of the various Caribbean jurisdictions.
Free online version of the Proceedings of the Old Bailey (London's Central Criminal Court), produced by the Open University and the Universities of Hertfordshire and Sheffield. Covers historical and legal background to trials at the Old Bailey as well as the accounts of criminal trials held there from 1674 to 1913 (when publication of the Proceedings ceased). Full text accounts are provided in HTML as well as digital images of the original reports and pictures from legal materials of the time. The Proceedings can be searched by keyword, name, date, crime and verdict and punishment.
Collection of insurance and reinsurance judgements made freely available on the Elborne Mitchell website. Elborne Mitchell are a London law firm specialising in insurance, reinsurance, shipping, commercial, regulatory, A.R.T. (Alternative Risk Transfer), employment and e-commerce matters. The judgements can be browsed by date (most recent first) or searched by keyword. The collection extends back to the end of 1997 with each record giving the case name, date, court, judge and a case summary.
Collection of full-text decisions from the Tasmanian Superior Courts handed down between 1824 and 1842 and made freely available by AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) and Macquarie University in Australia. The project was undertaken by Bruce Kercher of Macquarie University, Australia who selected and edited cases from newspaper archives and court records. Cases can be searched and browsed by subject or date.
A free database of internet domain name dispute cases, provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva. The Center offers alternative dispute resolution services in international commercial disputes between private parties. All the domain name cases back to 1999 are available in the database, searchable by domain name, key word, party names or case number. The full text of the decisions is available. The site also provides indexes of decisions by domain name category and by legal point, together with lists of the most-cited cases.
The Institute for Human Rights is part of the Department of Law at the Åbo Akademi University, Finland. Its main areas of research are the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples; economic and social rights; non-discrimination; fundamental standards of humanity; participation and democracy; and human rights in domestic legal systems. The Institute is the Finnish documentation centre for literature on human rights and a Council of Europe depository library for information concerning the European Convention on Human Rights. The system includes a comprehensive search facility and browsing by case name and date. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute has been developed by the University of Technology in Sydney to provide public access to primary legal materials. Materials contained in the database are selected and provided by the Commission.
