Australian Institute of Criminology

The Institute is the national focus for the study of crime and criminal justice in Australia and for the dissemination of criminal justice information. The site contains selected publications and conference papers, a Directory of Australian Researchers in Criminology and Criminal Justice, statistics, research groups, press releases and links to related sites and information.

Crown Prosecution Service

Website of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) the "Government Department responsible for prosecuting criminal cases investigated by the police in England and Wales." The site contains background information about the CPS including its history and role. There are pages aimed at victims of crime, contact details of local offices and press releases. The site also gives legal guidance for prosecutors and caseworkers covering the various types of offences, witnesses, case preparation, appeals, trial issues and sentencing.

Folktinget

The Folketinget is the parliament of Denmark. Its website is available in both English and Danish. The English version offers information on the history and duties of the Danish parliament. It includes information about electoral administration and the electoral laws. The Danish version provides more detailed information about parliamentary business. It offers the full text of all official documents produced during the current session, including parliamentary debates, parliamentary bills and committee documents.

Chambre des Députés du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg

The website of the Parliament of Luxembourg offers information on the organisation, membership and activities of the parliament. It includes press releases, access to live web content of the proceeedings, lists of members, committee programmes and fact sheets on parliamentary organisation in Luxembourg. Users should note that most information is currently offered in French only.

Child Welfare Information Gateway

Child Welfare Information Gateway is a service of the Children's Bureau, part of Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is a national resource for professionals in the United States seeking information on adoption, child welfare and child abuse and neglect. It includes online publications and fact sheets, summaries of state statutes, clearinghouse catalogue, specialised services, online databases and directories, and related sites.

European Patent Office

The EPO's website has a Law and Practice section which includes the European Patent Convention (EPC), the EPO's Official Journal (OJ), legislation, guidelines and case law. The European Patent Register is also available on the site, together with news, factsheets and other information. The site is available in English, French or German.

Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities

The home page for the Directorate General of Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the European Commission. Its mission is to promote a high level of employment and social protection, to raise the standard of living and quality of life, and to promote economic and social cohesion and solidarity among Member States. It also tackles discrimination. These pages provide information and news on the various areas of activity currently undertaken. The e-library contains details of publications, including those of the former DG, with links to many of them in full text.

European Commission: Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs

Webiste of the European Commission's directorate-general for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs ('DG GROW'). Covers EU policy on the Single Market - which aims to secure the free movement of goods, services, people and capital in the EU - business and related matters. The site provides organization charts for the D-G, lists calls for tender, outlines the D-G's information activities and explains its work on impact assessments and policy evaluation.

Drzavni Zbor (National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia)

The website of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is available in both English and Slovenian. The English version provides information on the legislative procedure of the Republic and the committee structure of the Assembly. It also offers a link to the Slovenian Interactive Legal information system which aims to provide data on legislation and decisions of the Constitutional Court. This includes a biography of the president and details of current parliamentary business.
