International Law Commission

Website of the International Law Commission (ILC), which was created in 1947 by the UN to assist in the development, promotion and codification of international law. Documentation arising from annual sessions of the ILC is available on the site back to 1949. A research guide is provided, which gives access to individual texts, instruments and reports adopted by the ILC. The annual reports and yearbooks of the International Law Commission are available from 1949 onwards.

Website of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, available in Polish and English versions. The site of the provides judgments and cases lists, together with the text of the Polish Constitution and the Constitutional Tribunal Act. In addition, it provides information about the history of the Constitutional Tribunal, its organisation, its role, and its position in the system of government.

Private International Law

Free online resources for private international law (PIL), collated by the Office of the Assistant Legal Adviser for Private International Law at the US Department of State. The database is split into 4 subject sections: Trade and Business Transactions Law; Family Law; International Judicial Assistance; and the law governing Wills, Trusts and Estates. Each of these sections includes a selection of primary documents under the following headings: PIL Conventions to Which the U.S. Is a Party; PIL Conventions -- U.S.

Texas Courts Online

Official website offering free access to a range of judicial and court materials and relevant internet links for the US State of Texas. There is information and documentation published about and by state courts, agencies and committees covering the structure and jurisdiction of the courts, information on Texas judges and statistics. There is a directory of all courts in the state of Texas. Links are given to other Texas legal sites, related bodies and to searchable collections of cases for the Texas county and appellate courts.

Autorita Garante Della Concorrenza e Del Mercato

Internet site for the independent body established by the Italian government to help regulate the application of fair competition practice rules, and adjudicate in cases of corporate breaches and cases of misleading advertising. The site explains how the Authority works, describing the organisation, operational structure and scope of its activities. A collection of news releases posted on the site in reverse chronological order, carries notes of Authority reports and relevant Italian legislation.

Vatican: the Holy See

This is the official website of the Vatican. It provides information on the structure, function and current activities of the governing body of the city including details on the Library, museums and the Vatican Secret Archives. Also included are recent Vatican press releases and information on the legal system. There is a biography of the current pope, a diary of his activities and the full-text of recent papal messages, encyclicals and homilies.

Government of Lesotho

This is the official website of the African kingdom of Lesotho. It provides information on the structure and function of government in the region and its recent activities. It includes access to the full text of the Constitution, lists of cabinet members and a directory of government websites including links to all the main departments and ministries. Also available are recent government press releases and political speeches.

Principality of Liechtenstein

Portal to official information about the Principality of Liechtenstein. It provides information on the history of the region and the current composition, structure and functions of its government. This includes a listing of all members of the government, descriptions of the work of the Parliament (Diet), and a chronological history and current biographies of the royal family. Some information is also available about foreign relations and the relationship between Liechtenstein and the European Union and other international entities. This site is available in German or English.

National Institute of Justice International Center

The National Institute of Justice's (NIJ) International Center website is an online information resource that aims to "stimulate, facilitate, evaluate and disseminate" criminal justice research and information. The Center is a part of the US Department of Justice. The resources are aimed primarily at practitioners, researchers and policymakers whose professional interests lie in the globalization of crime. The site offers access to information about the Center and its aims, recent events at the Center, an international calendar of upcoming events and NIJ's involvement with the UN.
