Healthcare Improvement Scotland

Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) regulates and manages healthcare services within Scotland. Its website details the role of the service and provides information regarding research conducted by HIS into the biggest health problems in Scotland. Further information on improvement and regulation is included and there is a documents section with annual reports, corporate documents and policies.

Environment Agency

The Environment Agency is the public body responsible for the environment in England. Its website includes detailed information on subjects such as flood defence, environmental permits, waste and waste disposal. There are comprehensive maps of environmental data covering England and Wales (this includes topics such as issued flood warnings and air pollution).
Also provided are documents and policy information and a searchable public register of holders of environmental permits.

Charity Commission for England and Wales

The website for the Charity Commission of England and Wales contains full information on how to set up and run a charity, including legal and financial guidance. It has a searchable database of all registered charities, and displays financial records and overviews of each charity. The site also contains details of enquiries and cases brought against registered charities, as well as reports, consultation documents and other publications.

Court of the Eurasian Economic Union

Website of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The EAEU is a regional economic organisation comprising the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The role of the Court is to ensure uniform application of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, other EAEU treaties and decisions of the various EAEU bodies. Rules of procedure of the Court and the Statute of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union can be viewed in English.

Eurasian Economic Union

Website of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) a regional economic organisation that provides free movement of goods, services, capital and labour between its members. Member states of the EAEU are the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. There is information on the establishment and governance of the EAEU including a copy of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. International treaties, acts of the various EAEU bodies, regulatory documents, a copy of the customs code and tariff details are also given.

Moroccan Chamber of Representatives

The official website for the chamber of representatives of Morocco (available in French, Arabic, Spanish and English). Includes draft laws and related documents, together with information about the progress of legislation; the Electoral Code; the Constitution; and royal speeches. Provides details of the composition of the current parliament and lists of previous members. Contains a timeline of the history of the Moroccan parliament.

National Assembly of Madagascar

The website for the National Assembly of Madagascar ( in French). Details the history of the Assembly and lists its members and committees. Also contains laws from 1999 onwards, draft laws and other publications. Has a developing archive section containing commission reports and records of Assembly proceedings (some of these documents are in Malagasy).

Judiciary of Kenya

Website of the Kenyan Judiciary. Provides cause lists and court decisions from the courts in Kenya, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court. Describes the history of the judiciary in Kenya, and details the system of courts in place, with brief descriptions of the function of each court. Also contains information on the different offices of the judiciary, and a resource centre.

European Commission: Migration and Home Affairs

Website of the Directorate-General of the European Commission dealing with migration and home affairs which includes EU migration, asylum policy and EU security. The site has information on EU policies covering issues such as migration, asylum, Schengen and borders, organised crime, trafficking and police cooperation. There is also information about the EU agencies concerned with these issues and links to their websites eg. FRONTEX: EU external borders agency and Europol: The European Police Office and networks such as the European Migration Network (EMN).

Admiralty Court

Website of the Admiralty Court, a specialist court within the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court. The Court hears cases concerning shipping and maritime disputes including cases involving collisions between ships, disputes over the transport of cargo and claims brought by passengers or ship crew. The site has guidance on taking a maritime or shipping case to the court, a court guide for lawyers and contact details for judges in the Admiralty Court.
