Guernsey Legal Resources

The Guernsey Legal Resources website is a joint initiative of the Royal Court of Guernsey and the Law Officers of the Crown. The site a range of materials, including laws of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and the Bailiwick of Guernsey (the latter consists of the three jurisdictions of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark) and ordinances for Guernsey and Sark. The Guernsey Law Reports 2003 to 2012 are available, with indexes by case (reported and cited), subject and legislation cited.

United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials

United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNARKT) gives technical assistance to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), which was established to try members of the Khmer Rouge for genocide and crimes against humanity. Its website provides information about UNARKT's aims, activities and jurisdictions. It includes press releases, UN resolutions and mandates, court documents, UN reports and other material, including decisions in contract disputes with ECCC defence lawyers.

Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia for the Prosecution of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea

The Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia was established by the Cambodian government with the assistance of the UN to serve as an independent body for trying former members of the Khmer Rouge for serious crimes (genocide and human rights abuses) committed during the Khmer Rouge regime 1975-1979. Its website provides information about the role of the Extraordinary Chambers makes available court proceedings, court rules and other legal documents, together with speeches, news articles and photographic images of the hearings.

Bombay High Court Judges' Library

Website of the e-law library of the Bombay High Court in India. The purpose of the library is to provide support and legal information for judges of the Bombay High Court and the site gives access to freely available legal materials and provides details of materials held locally. There is a selection of summaries of historical cases of the Bombay High Court and a list of judges from 1862 onwards. Legislation dealing with judiciary, the Bombay High Court rules and guidelines and the Indian Constitution with amending legislation are given on the site.

Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau

Official website of the Hong Kong Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, the government body with responsibility for overseeing the implementation of Hong Kong's Basic Law and for promoting closer ties and cooperation with mainland China. The site offers guidance, documentation and related links to topical issues such as the Sino-British Joint Declaration, human rights, constitutional developments and the Basic Law. Legislative Council papers are available, along with press releases, speeches and links to UN documents.

Law Reform Commission of Thailand

Web pages of the Law Reform Commission of Thailand an independent body providing research and advice to the Thai Government on legal developments and reforms. The site has an English interface and provides English translations of the Thai Constitution and a small selection of laws and treaties that Thailand has signed; other legislation and codes on the site are in Thai.

Federal Judicial Center

The Federal Judicial Center (FJC) is the education and research agency for the US federal courts. Its website provides research on the federal courts as well as educational materials for judges and court employees. Datasets covering civil and criminal filings and terminations in federal district courts, together with details of bankruptcy court and appellate court cases from 1970 onwards, are available in the FJC's Integrated Data Base . A section of the site gives information about the FJC International Office's work with foreign judges and court officials.

Scottish Children's Reporter Administration

Website of the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) the body with responsibility for facilitating the work of the Children's Reporters and providing accommodation for Children's Hearings. Children's Hearings are distinct to Scotland and deal with both young offenders and children in need of care and protection. The site provides history, background and organisational information about the SCRA. There is information on the Children's Hearings System covering procedure and decision making.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights

This site provides historical information and documentation on the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is a joint digitisation project of the UN's Dag Hammarskjöld Library and the Library of the UN Office at Geneva. The site has details of meetings which took place between 1946 and 1948, including meeting records and reports. Documents can be downloaded in English and French. Profiles of members of the Drafting Committee are also given.
