Summaries of relevant laws, publications and news items are given on a range of environmental issues including air pollution, animal welfare, asbestos, climate, green building and hazardous materials. There is information on the formation of a constitution and the structure of the judicial and legislative branches of government. The section entitled Laws and Liberties provides information on freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and background on Supreme Court judgments. Guide to researching the documentation of the League of Nations, by Gabriela Femenia, Foreign and International Law Library at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biddle Law Library. The research guide was published in 2012 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. It covers the types of documents produced by the League of Nation and their reference numbers and discusses print, microfilm and electronic sources of these documents.
The Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) helps those who are involved in or want to appeal against decisions made by the First-tier tribunal in tax or Charity cases, as well as people who want to refer matters relating to certain decisions made by the Financial Services Authority and the Pensions Regulator. This section of the Justice website includes forms and guidance, available in PDF, links to procedural rules and a link to the Tribunals Judiciary website, where Tax and Chancery (Upper Tribunal) decisions are available to search from April 2003 onwards.
Tahrir Documents provides a gateway to activist papers from the 2011 Egyptian uprising and its aftermath, deriving from protests and unrest in Cairo’s Tahrir Square. Scans of the original documents are published alongside complete English translations. There are copies of revolutionary newspapers, documents concerning the constitution, the military, politics and workers’ rights, as well as background information on the previous Egyptian regime. There are also other cultural documents, including poetry and fiction, and both Muslim and Christian religious information.
