Insite Law magazine

Website of Insite Law magazine which is produced by Mike Semple Piggot and aimed at legal practitioners and students. The site offers podcasts of interviews with people working in different areas of the law and legal education. Recent podcasts have covered topics such as standards in UK universities, the rising costs of legal education and what is involved in doing a Ph.D. There are also interviews with the Chair of the UK Innocence Network Committee, Head of Legal at Liberty and the Director of Justice along with a series of podcasts focusing on the Bar and pupillage.

Australian Privacy and Surveillance Law Library

The Australian Privacy and Surveillance Law Library is an AustLII project providing access to a searchable collection of Australian legal materials specialising in privacy and surveillance law. The Library has been developed in conjunction with the interpreting Privacy Principles (iPP) Project which is based at theCyberspace Law & Policy Centre at the University of New South Wales. There are databases containing case law, legislation, law journals and law reform publications as well as links to external related resources.

Scottish Human Rights Commission

The Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) was created by The Scottish Commission for Human Rights Act 2006, and formed in 2008. This followed several years of reports and feasibility studies. Its mandate is to "promote all human rights ¹ civil, political, economic, social and cultural". The website contains details of the Commission's Strategic Plan, and will also include news, publications and events as they become available.

Guernsey Legal Resources

The Guernsey Legal Resources website is a joint initiative of the Royal Court of Guernsey and the Law Officers of the Crown. The site a range of materials, including laws of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and the Bailiwick of Guernsey (the latter consists of the three jurisdictions of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark) and ordinances for Guernsey and Sark. The Guernsey Law Reports 2003 to 2012 are available, with indexes by case (reported and cited), subject and legislation cited.

United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials

United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNARKT) represents the involvement of the international community in the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), which was established to try members of the Khmer Rouge for genocide and crimes against humanity. Its website provides information about UNARKT's aims, activities and jurisdictions. It includes press releases, UN resolutions and mandates, court documents, annual reports and financial statements. Materials are available from 2003 onwards.

Research guide to the Somaliland legal system

Article looking at the legal system of Somaliland written by Mohamed Farah Hersi who is an attorney and human rights researcher and a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria. The guide was published in 2009 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law. Somaliland is a breakaway territory established in the north of Somalia in 1991 and is not currently recognised by the international community.

Somaliland Law is edited by UK based lawyer Ibrahim Hashi Jama. The site offers a profile of Somaliland and articles and commentary relating to Somaliland law. Full texts of the Constitutions of 1991 and 1960 are given along with details of developments in constitutional law.

Flare Index to Treaties

The Flare Index to Treaties is a free searchable database containing details of more than 2000 of the most significant multilateral treaties from about 1600 onwards, together with selected bilateral treaties signed between 1353 and 1815. The index was compiled by Dr Peter Clinch of Cardiff University and is hosted on the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) website at the University of London. Entries are taken from "Multilateral Treaties: Index and Current Status" by Michael Bowman and David Harris and from other sources.

European Private Law Forum

Web pages of the European Private Law Forum, a research group based at the Law Department of the European University Institute. The Forum carries out research into the Europeanisation of private law. The site has information about the Forum's projects which include Tenancy Law and Procedure in the European Union and Real Property Law and Procedure in the European Union.
