Mediate.com is the website of an Oregon based company providing information and services concerned with mediation and conflict resolution. The site has a freely available library of full-text articles, searchable by subject or keyword, which are made available in HTML. Some of the subjects listed on the site include the Americans With Disabilities Act, conflict coaching, negotiation, restorative justice and employment, family and international law. There are links to mediation blogs and a weekly round up blog postings on mediation and dispute resolution.

Indigenous Bar Association

Website of the Indigenous Bar Association (IBA), an organisation based in Ontario, Canada which represents aboriginal lawyers and provides a forum for discussing developments in indigenous law. Membership is drawn from judges, academics, consultants and students. The website includes organisational information and details of the objectives and by-laws of the IBA. It also makes available the IBA's newsletters and conference reports, together with information about the National Secretariat Against Hate and Racism in Canada.

Nouvelle-Calédonie

This is an official website of New Caledonia which is a department d'Outre Mer of the French government. Its website provides information on the history, economy, politics and society of the region. It includes a section on its government, parliament and relationship with France. The latter includes some materials concerning its sovereignty and constitution. Users should note that all material is currently offered in French only.

Legal Research Guide to Kazakhstan

LLRX legal research guide for the Republic of Kazakhstan, by legal information professionals Victor Malinovskiy and Karim Shakirov. The guide outlines the legal system in the Republic, with references to Internet sources and official print materials. The authors provide notes about: the Constitution, Presidency, Government and Parliament, Court System, Legal System, Legal profession and legal education. Other sections of the guide describe the main codifications, legal publications and electronic sources.

Council of the European Union

The Council of the European Union is the principal decision-making body of the EU. It is composed of government ministers from each member atate. The Council's website has a news section and pages devoted to key policy areas. The Documents and Publications section of the site includes an Agreements (treaties) Database and a register of internal documents. Information is provided about Council meetings; Inter-Governmental Conferences, the European Council; and current, past and future holders of the Presidency of the EU.

Community Plant Variety Office

The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) implements and applies the European Community's system for the protection of plant variety rights which "allows intellectual property rights, valid throughout the Community, to be granted for plant varieties". It has been operating since 1995 and is based at Angers in France. Its website gives details of its work; has a section containing the relevant legislation and published decisions of the CPVO's councils and boards of appeal. Application forms for plant variety rights can be downloaded.

Leasehold Advisory Service

Website of a London based advisory service which provides free information about the law concerning leasehold property. A selection of full-text advice documents are made available on the site in HTML dealing with issues such as collective enfranchisement, the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and obtaining a lease extension. Also included are reports dealing with leasehold reform including a guide to the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 and a link to the full-text of the act in HTML. Leasehold Valuation Tribunal decisions and determinations are available in full in PDF format.

Legislationline

Legislationline is a website provided by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), which is part of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). It consists primarily of a database of selected legal texts from countries within the OSCE region, as well as international legal materials. The purpose of this database is to provide examples of domestic legislation and international standards for the use of lawmakers in OSCE participating states.

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania

The website of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania is available in both English and Lithuanian. It contains information about the Court including details of its functions and powers, proceedings and judges, and the text its rulings, decisions and conclusions from 1993 onwards. The site has statistics on petitions and inquiries received at the Court from 1993 onwards and text of the Constitution and the Law on the Constitutional Court. A list of publications of the Court and links to other sites containing Lithuanian legal information are also provided.

ABA Section of Family Law

Website for the American Bar Association Family Law Section which was formed in 1958 to improve the administration of justice in family law and to "serve as the national leader in the field of marital and family law". Membership is drawn from family law practitioners and law students. The Family Law Section deals with legal issues such as divorce, custody, adoption, paternity, child abduction and mediation. There are sections aimed at members, students and the general public.
