The site is hosted by The National Archives on behalf of HM Government. This section of the site provides access to full text UK statutory instruments, Wales statutory instruments and Northern Ireland orders in council. There is a complete collection available from 1987 onwards and a selection provided for earlier dates. Detailed Help pages and FAQs are provided along with a glossary of terms used on the site.
The American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL) promotes the study of foreign and comparative law in the United States. It publishes the American Journal of Comparative Law and organises events and meetings. The ASCL website provides a seardchable index to the Journal from 1952 to 2006. Details of recent conferences and meetings are available under "Programs". The site also outlines the Society's research opportunities and interests. The Legislation.gov.uk website provides all UK public general acts from 1988 onwards and a large but incomplete collections of acts from 1801 to 1987. A search facility is available, or the acts can be browsed by year and title. N.B. Many revised versions of acts are offered, but they are often not fully up-to-date. Website for the South African Law Reform Commission (SALRC) which was established in 1973 to carry out research relating to the law of the Republic of South Africa and to make recommendations for development, improvement, modernisation or reform. A list of current members is published on the site. Projects from the Commission's active programme of work are listed with supporting documents such as media releases, discussion papers, issue papers and reports.
Website of the Law Society of Ireland. The Society, established in 1773, works to improve access to the law generally and also provides representation, services and support for solicitors. It exercises statutory functions in relation to the education, admission, enrolment, discipline and regulation of the solictors' profession. The site provides an overview of the work of the society and of the legal profession in Ireland.
An online medical negligence information service for UK professionals and the public from the publishers of Medical Litigation magazine edited by barrister Geoff Hall. The site is subscription only providing access to Medical Litigation Cases, a database of articles and details of experts and counsel. Summaries of relevant news stories are made freely available back to 2005 and can be searched by keyword. A page a related web links is also provided.
Internet site for the Society of Construction Law (SCL). The Society was founded in 1983 to promote for the public benefit education, study and research in the field of construction law and related subjects in the UK and internationally. The site provides information about the organisation and work of the Society, supported by an online newsletter, with details of forthcoming events and the full text of articles and papers published by the SCL. Links are given to construction law societies in other parts of the world, construction law courses and other related websites.
