EUR-Lex: Preparatory Acts

Part of the EU's free EUR-Lex web database, the Preparatory Acts page gives access to proposed legislation, reports and other texts published in the European Commission's COM documents series, back to 1999, in pdf format. The documents can be searched, or browsed by year and month. The site is offered in each of the EU languages.

InfoCuria - Case-law of the Court of Justice

Official European Union database carrying all judgments, opinions and orders issued by the Court of Justice, General Court and Civil Service Tribunal, plus case summaries and court notices. The database is on the Courts' website, Curia. New cases are available on the day the decision is given. InfoCuria can be searched by case number, date, party names, subject, key words and other criteria. Content is available in all the official EU languages, except for cases not intended for publication in the European Court Reports.

Ministère de la Justice (Belgique)

Web pages of the Belgian Ministry of Justice, whose functions include the drafting and preparation of legislation (civil, commercial and penal), the support and logistics of the administration of justice in Belgium, and the management of Belgian penal institutions. Features of the website include some information on the current Minister, the structure and responsibilities of the Ministry, the independent commissions which work alongside the Ministry, and some corporate information on the Ministry (budget, personnel and buildings).

EUR-Lex: Consolidated Acts

Collection of consolidated European Union legislation on the free EUR-Lex website. The consolidated texts are intended as research tools; they have no legal validity. There is a dedicated search facility for consolidated texts, plus a browseable directory arranged by subject. EUR-Lex is available in all the languages of the EU member states.

Alberta Law Reform Institute

Website for the Alberta Law Reform Institute, formed in 1968 by agreement and cooperation between the Province of Alberta, the Law Society of Alberta, and the University of Alberta, and previously known as the Institute of Law Research and Reform. The Institute is exceptional in involving government, academics and the legal profession in the law reform and review process from the very beginning, and conducts research into law and the administration of justice, and makes recommendations on matters of law reform.

Access to Justice and law Reform Institute of Nova Scotia

The Access to Justice and law Reform Institute of Nova Scotia was formed in 1991 by the Government of Nova Scotia to act as an independent advisor and review the laws of Nova Scotia. The Commission makes recommendations to improve, update and reform the law involving the general public in the consultation procedures. A full list of publications is available, together with full-text online versions of the discussion papers and final reports produced for each project the Commission works on. Ontario e-Laws

This section of the Government of Ontario website provides access to Ontario's statutes and regulations in full text. Current consolidated law and source law from 2000 onwards can be searched or browsed on the site. There are sections providing access to Period in Time law, repealed statutes and revoked or spent regulations. A page of related web links, a glossary of terms and a selection of FAQs are also provided. The content can be viewed in English or French.

British Columbia Laws

Legislation section of the official Government of British Columbia website. Laws can be searched or browsed and viewed in full text. Bills for the current session and sessions back to 1996 are also given along with consolidated regulations, proclamations and copies of the Gazette.
