The Center was established to provide leadership in teaching, research and policy analysis in the legal aspects of emerging technologies. In its website, the Center places an emphasis on the role of the consumer in the complex electronic marketplace, and focuses on telecommunications and other policy issues relating to the internet and e-commerce.

This site is produced by Christopher Avery, an international lawyer educated in the USA. He has considerable experience of ethical business research and has worked for Amnesty International. He seeks responses from companies to allegations of misconduct: thus ensuring that coverage is balanced and encouraging companies to address concerns raised by civil society. The website covers over 4000 companies, over 180 countries. Topics include discrimination, environment, poverty, development, labour, access to medicines, health and safety, security, trade.

Law Society of Saskatchewan

The Law Society of Saskatchewan's website provides several free resources relating to the law of the Province and the regulation of its legal profession. There is a database of full-text judgments from the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, Court of Queen's Bench and Provincial Court (1994 - ) and a database of article titles and abstracts from recent Canadian journals.

Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States

The Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States(OECS) is an intergovernmental body founded in 1981 which seeks to promote cooperation amongst the nations of the Eastern Caribbean. Its members include Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Montserrat, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and St Vincent and the Grenadines. The site provides general information on the purpose of the body, its current activities and basic information about the member states. Details of projects and programmes are given along with documents, treaties and agreements.

Center for Free Elections and Democracy Belgrade

The Center for Free Elections and Democracy Belgrade is a no-partisan organisation formed in 1997 by professors and student protestors at the University of Belgrade. It seeks to extend democratic government in Serbia/Montenegro (former Yugoslavia). The website provides information on the purpose and work of the center. It provides up to date political news from the region and access to the full-text of some of its publications. The latter include guides and assessments of the current state of democracy and the electoral system in the region, model laws and election monitoring reports.

Physicians for Human Rights

Website of Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) the international organisation which mobilises health professions and promotes the right to health for all. The site has background and organisational information about PHR and details of their campaigning work in the following areas: Darfur survival; health action AIDS; health and justice for youth; campaign against torture and the campaign to ban landmines. There is also information on their International Forensic Program which uses medical and scientific methods to investigate and expose violations of human rights.
