Nigeria Law

Website publishing judicial information and legal materials relating to the law of Nigeria. The site was set up by the International Centre for Nigerian Law, in association with the chambers of E.C.M. Obata. It carries the texts of the Nigerian Constitution, selected legislation (1990-2006, if still in force) and an index of laws from 1990 to 2000. The Law Reporting page carries judgments of the Supreme Court from 1909 onwards (incomplete). General information is provided about the Supreme Court, high courts and Court of Appeal.

ASIL Electronic Resource Guide : Private International Law

An online resource guide offering commentary and links relating to Private International Law, the body of international legislative materials regulating private rather than national relationships across borders, written and compiled by Louise Tsang, working in law school and law firm libraries in the US and Canada. This guide forms a chapter of the American Society of International Law's Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law.

United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: guide to research and literature

An online bibliographic guide prepared by Claire Germain of Cornell law library made freely available on the Cornell Law School website. The guide provides explanatory notes, bibliographic details and links to internet resources related to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (also known as the Vienna Convention and CISG). There is historical information on the Convention, guidance on research issues, references to commentaries and major texts and to judicial and arbitral decisions interpreting the Convention

Swiss Bankers Association

The Swiss Bankers Association is the representative association for financial institutions in Switzerland. Publications include a code of conduct, papers on risk management, and press releases, and are available in PDF. The feature on SPSS discusses Swiss Performance Presentation Standards, which are used to ensure performance reporting by banks in Switzerland. A feature on legislation and self-regulation outlines the legislative and regulatory framework in the Swiss financial services sector.

Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)

The website of the Swiss Data Protection Commissioner, in German, French, Italian or English. The English version includes basic information on data protection in Switzerland, an information sheet on unsolicited emails, selected Council of Europe texts, extracts from the Commissioner's annual report, and recent press releases. The full text of the Federal Law on Data Protection of 1992 is included. The German version contains all of these, as well as some recommendations of the Commissioner.

Prime Minister's Office Denmark

This is the official website of the Prime Minister of Denmark. It provides information about the roles and responsibilities of the Prime Minister and details about the current incumbent. The latter includes a brief biography and access to recent press releases, important articles and speech transcripts. These cover all aspects of social, economic, political and foreign policy. The site is available in English or Danish versions.

Civil Justice Reform Evaluation: Emerging Findings: an Early Evaluation of the Civil Justice Reforms

This paper from the Lord Chancellor's Department documents the emerging findings from the first phase of the Civil Justice Reforms, introduced in April 1999. These reforms were introduced following Lord Woolf's 'Access to Justice' report. The report discusses recent trends in litigation, the settlement and resolution of claims, trends in alternative dispute resolution, the impact of case management conferences, evidence on costs, and the views of litigants on the reforms. Many statistical tables are included.
