American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics

Website of the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics (ASLME) , which aims to provide interdisciplinary educational resources for professionals and students whose work encompasses aspects of health, law and ethics. ASLME is responsible for the publication of two major health law journals, the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics and the American Journal of Law & Medicine. Back issues and individual articles can be ordered from the site. A collection of audio presentations, lectures and talks are made freely available to download on RealPlayer 8.0.

Declaration of Helsinki

Text of the Declaration of Helsinki, adopted in June 1964 by the General Assembly of the World Medical Association (WMA). The document is on the WMA's website. It incorporates amendments made at subsequent General Assembly meetings. The declaration concerns ethical principles for physicians and others carrying out medical research with human subjects. It is provided in English, French and Spanish.

International Association of Young Lawyers

Website of the International Association of Young Lawyers, also known as L'Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats, a worldwide professional association of lawyers aged 45 or under. The site lists AIJA officers, standing commissions with responsibility for specific subject areas and issues and national representatives. Details of AIJA events, congresses and seminars with options to down load selected congress programs in PDF format are also provided.

Nevada Law Resources

An annotated list of web-based information resources relevant to law in the US State of Nevada. The guide presents key sites providing access to the Nevada Constitution and legislation, Supreme Court opinions, state and local court rules and Federal Court rules. In addition the guide lists websites relating to Nevada state government, cities and counties, legal forms, federal information, directories and legal associations. The guide is posted on the Wiener-Rogers Law Library at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

National Asian Pacific American Bar Association

Website describing and promoting the work of the national association of Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law students, and professors in the United States. The site explains the history, aims, organisational structure and activities of NAPABA with listings of current events, details of the annual convention and review of accomplishments in areas such as civil rights reform. There are details of activities for law students including moot court competitions and a directory of Association partners with contact details.

Law Reform Commission of Ireland

The mandate of the Irish Law Reform Commission is to formulate recommendations for law reform and ensure the law is kept under review. It also produces restatements of the law of Ireland and is responsible for the Legislation Directory (formerly the Chronological Table of the Statutes), which lists amendments to Irish legislation. The Commission's website provides full details of its workand makes available all its law reform consultation papers and reports, free of charge, in the Publications Library.
