Rajya Sabha

Official website of the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) which is one of the Indian Houses of Parliament. Rajya Sabha is the Upper House of Parliament and its members are not elected directly by the Indian people but by the Legislative Assemblies of the various states. The site has background information on the role and composition of Rajya Sabha, organisational information and profiles of members. Details of parliamentary business are provided in bulletins, journals and synopses of debates.

Lok Sabha

Official website of the Lok Sabha (House of the People) which is one of the Indian Houses of Parliament. Lok Sabha is composed of representatives of the people directly elected by the adult population who are eligible to vote. The website gives details of members, parliamentary business and the work of committees. Parliamentary debates back to 2004 can be viewed in full text along with parliamentary questions. The site provides an outline of how laws are passed in the Indian Parliament.

PRS Legislative Research

PRS Legislative Research is an independent research initiative founded in 2005 to provide research support for MPs in the Indian Parliament. Information on the work and activities of PRS is made freely available on the web. The site provides access to the PRS Bill Tracking service which includes details of bills at any stage of their progress through Parliament. Bills are arranged by subject and status and can be viewed in full text.

Asamblea Nacional de Panama

Official website of the Asamblea Nacional de Panama, or National Assembly of Panama, providing background and historical information. Details are given for members of the Assembly and parliamentary proceedings are given in full from 2006 onwards. A link is given to the Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) which provides access to Panamanian legal materials. The site is in Spanish throughout.

Parliament of the Republic of South Africa

Official website of the South African Parliament providing background information to the Parliament, how it is structured, its functions and details of members and officers of the Parliament. There are details of the various committees and parliamentary papers, including committee reports, order papers and minutes of proceedings, can be downloaded from the site. Recent speeches can be viewed and the most recent editions of Hansard can be searched, browsed and downloaded. Bills before Parliament can be viewed in full.

Assembly of Kosovo

Website of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. with information about the institution's history, function and recent activities. Includes laws, a legislation tracker, minutes, election information, lists of current deputies and details of committees. Coverage is from approximately 2001 onwards. The site is in Albanian, Serb and English.

Afghanistan National Assembly

Archived version of the official website of the National Assembly (parliament) of Afghanistan, before it was effectively dissolved under the Taliban regime in August 2021. The home page has links to each chamber, the Meshrano Jirga (MJ), or Upper House, and the Wolesi Jirga (WJ), or House of the People.  The MJ pages provide background and historical information, procedural rules and the text of the Afghan Constitution, along with news and links.

Congrès de la Nouvelle-Calédonie

Official website of the Congress of the French overseas territory of New Caledonia. The site provides a history of the institution and information on its composition and role, including a list of members. Laws, constitutional texts, political agreements, speeches and procedural rules of the Congress are available, and there is an events calendar. The site is in French only.
