United Nations Administrative Law

Online guide to the law governing employment relations and disputes within the United Nations written by Cyril Emery who is the Librarian of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The guide was published in 2022 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author outlines the various sources of law and provides links to fundamental documents, research resources, UN courts and tribunals and legal decisions.

Judiciary NI

Official website of the Northern Ireland judiciary. The site lists members of the judiciary and provides information on the court structure in Northern Ireland. There are sections on the Judicial Studies Board which oversees training for judges and on legacy litigation and inquests arising out of the conflict in Northern Ireland. A database of full text court and tribunal decisions and directions can be browsed by type, date or judge or searched by keyword. Publications can also be viewed including sentencing guidelines, press releases and bench books.

Supreme Administrative Court of Austria

Official website of the Austrian Supreme Administrative Court (VwGH) which has final jurisdiction in matters of administrative law including planning permits, industrial operating licences, fiscal and asylum matters. It is one of three supreme courts in Austria the others being the Supreme Court (civil and criminal matters) and the Constitutional Court (constitutional law). The site describes the role and functions of the court and provides a link to the annual report (in German).

Judiciary of Bermuda

This part of the Bermuda Government’s website provides information on the court system and judiciary in Bermuda with sections dealing with the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Magistrates Court and the Supreme Court Registry. The site outlines the role of each court and gives weekly schedules, annual reports and contact details. Full text judgements are given for the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal back to 2007.

Researching the Right to Housing

Online guide to resources on housing rights written by S M Atia Naznin who is a lecturer at the School of Law, BRAC University, in Bangladesh. The guide was published in 2018 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an introduction and links to relevant sections of the UN International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights along with other related international and regional  instruments.

Ghana legal information institute

The Ghana Legal Information Institute (GhaLII) provides access to the Ghana Gazette and to Ghanaian court decisions. It also has a Legislation section that will contain acts, laws and subsidiary legislation, but this has no content at the time of writing (May 2021). The site is intended for use by the general public to deepen research in Ghanaian and African law.

Illinois Courts

Official website of the courts of the US state of Illinois with sections covering the work of the supreme court, appellate courts and circuit courts. There are full text opinions of the supreme court back to 1996, details of justices, committees and commissions as well as policies, standards and rules. Opinions, rules and details of justices are also given for the appellate courts. Annual reports and caseload statistics are given for all courts. Information relating to the Illinois Judicial College and state law schools is also given.
