Sovereign Base Areas Cyprus

The Sovereign Base Areas (SBA) of Cyprus are British overseas territories with their own administration and legal system. Almost all current SBA legislation is available on the SBA website via an index of legislation in force. There is also an index to repealed and revoked legislation, a list of multilateral treaties applicable to the SBA and a set of constitutional documents. There are descriptions of the court system and procedure, but no judgments are available.

Company Names Tribunal

The Company Names Tribunal is a UK public body that deals with cases where a name appears to have been registered in order to extract money or to prevent another party from registering it. Its website provides decisions and orders of the Tribunal, forms, procedural information and announcements.

Military Court Service

The Military Court Service (MCS) is part of the Ministry of Defence providing a criminal court service for the Royal Navy (RN), Army and Royal Air Force (RAF) in the Court Martial, Summary Appeal Court (SAC) and Service Civilian Court (SCC). It maintains six staffed Military Court Centres. The site provides background information on the role, organisation and procedures of the MCS along with links to related resources including the Manual of Service Law and the Armed Forces Act 2006

Privy Council Office

The Privy Council is the institution which allows interdepartmental agreement to be reached on certain aspects of UK government business. Its website provides information about its role and current activities, including an explanation of the orders in council, a list of all orders in council made by the Privy Council since 2000 and information about Royal charters. There is also a link to the separate website of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights

Official website of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights which was established by a protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights in1998. The African Court is based in Tanzania and started work in 2006. It has jurisdiction over all cases submitted to it regarding the interpretation and application of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights and deals with human rights violations perpetrated by African Union Member States. The site has profiles of judges and information on the history and role of the Court.

United States Courts

Official site offering information about the US federal judiciary and the judicial process. Provides court forms and rules, a glossary of legal terms, court statistics and information about how to access court records. Educational resources on the site include a guide to the federal courts and an overview of the structure of the US judicial system. There is also a biographical directory of judges, a court locator facility and a news page.

USA.gov

USA.gov is the main portal to US federal, state and tribal government information on the web. It offers an A-Z of government departments (with links), a directory of web-based government services and contact details for all sorts of government bodies. The Explore Topics section includes a Public Safety and Law page with links to courts and legislatures and a Reference and General Government page with links to official publications, statistics, a glossary of federal government abbreviations, laws and other materials.

Ministry of Justice: Procedure Rules

Collection of procedure rules for different types of litigation in England and Wales, provided by the UK Ministry of Justice. Consists of the Civil Procedure Rules, Criminal Procedure Rules, Family Procedure Rules and other rules that apply to the magistrates courts and Crown Court. Practice directions, court forms and court guides are also available.
