Center for Comparative Constitutionalism

The Center for Comparative Constitutionalism (CCC) at the University of Chicago is concerned with the study of constitutional rights and "the wide range of ways in which societies attempt to secure constitutional rights to their citizens." The CCC's website gives details of the Center's projects and events including study papers which can be downloaded in PDF format and lectures which can be heard in RealOne Player or Quicktime Player (both of which can be freely downloaded on the site).

Centre for Constitutional Studies

Website of the Centre for Constitutional Studies at the University of Alberta in Canada. The Centre is concerned with the "interdisciplinary study of constitutional matters both nationally and internationally". The website has details of staff and of the Centre's research projects and publications, including the Constitutional Forum and the Review of Constitutional Studies. There is a collection of links to constitutional law resources and a Constitutional Keywords database which is made freely available on the site.

Constitution of Australia

This site contains the full-text of the Australian Constitution, which came into effect in 1901, along with background notes and related constitutional documents. The Constitution is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The site also has historical and political information relating to Australia. Other documents provided include the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900, the Statute of Westminster 1931, the Statute of Westminster Adoption Act 1942 and the Australia Act 1985.

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Office of the High Representative

The Office of the High Representative 'is an ad hoc international institution responsible for overseeing implementation of civilian aspects of the accord ending the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina'. The High Representative is also the EU Representative. This site also contains the full text of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Word document. by the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Constitution of Bahrain

This site contains the full-text of the 2002 Bahrain Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The document has sections on the state, fundamental constituents of society, public rights and duties and the system of government which covers the Amir, legislative power, executive power and judicial power. Constitution of Armenia

This site contains the full-text of the Constitution adopted in 1995 by the Republic of Armenia which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The document covers human and civil rights and freedoms, the role and function of the President, the National Assembly, the Government, judiciary and local government. The site provides brief historical and background information to the Constitution along with other legal materials. There is also a link to the website of the Constitutional Court.

Constitution of Argentina

This site contains the Constitution of Argentina in English, provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) project at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This edition of the Constitution incorporates all amendments made up to 1994 and covers the role and functions of the legislature, the executive, the judiciary and the provincial governments. The site also provides historical and background information to the Constitution.

This site contains the full-text of the 1998 Constitution of the Republic of Albania. This site is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution deals with the role and functions of the People's Assembly, the President and the Council of Ministers. Constitution of Afghanistan

This site contains the full-text of the 2004 Afghanistan Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This ICL edition is an unofficial version of the Constitution which was adopted by the Loya Jirga (Grand Council) on 3 Jan 2004. The Constitution describes the powers of the state, the rights and duties of the citizens and the role and functions of the President, the National Assembly, the Loya Jirga and the Government.

First Amendment Library

The First Amendment Library forms part of the website of the First Amendment Center an organisation affiliated to the Freedom Forum and based at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Arlington, Virginia in the United States. The Library provides access to information relating to the five freedoms of the First Amendment -speech, press, assembly, petition and religion. The database is arranged by category including freedom of expression, freedom of religion and the Freedom of Information Act.
