FLARE is a collaborative project whose aim is to improve the provision of foreign, comparative and international law materials to the UK research community. The project members are the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Library, the Bodleian Law Library, the Squire Law Library, the British Library, and the School of Oriental and African Studies Library.
This International Bar Association (IBA) website is a discussion forum and source of information for lawyers working in the anti-money laundering field. It provides an introduction to the subject of anti-money laundering, together with outlines of anti-money laundering regimes worldwide. There is an implementation chart for the EU's Third Money Laundering Directive (2005/60/EC) and another chart shows which countries of the world have anti-money laundering legislation applying to lawyers. The Reading Room section provides articles, news, book reviews and other information.
The Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law is published twice yearly by Duke University School of Law in the United States. The journal includes in-depth articles from international scholars and practitioners, commentary, book reviews and student notes. Issues are available free from 1997 onwards and can either be browsed, or searched by citation or key word.
The Center for Comparative Constitutionalism (CCC) at the University of Chicago is concerned with the study of constitutional rights and "the wide range of ways in which societies attempt to secure constitutional rights to their citizens." The Common Core of Private European Law is a project based at the University of Trento in Italy, involving academics from Europe and the United States. The aim of the project is to analyse the private law of EU member states in order to establish the common elements. The site explains the background and methodology of the project and includes copies of the survey questionnaires used in its work. Relevant books by members of the project are listed.
Global Jurist is a continuously updated annual journal published by The Berkeley Electronic Press. It is a forum for scholarly cyber-debate on issues of comparative law, law and economics, international law, law and development, and legal anthropology. Its editors and authors come from around the world, enabling it to offer multi-national perspectives on global law issues. The Société de Législation Comparée (SLC) was founded in France in 1869. Its members are academics, lawyers and judges with an interest in comparative law, in France and elsewhere. It has consultative status with the UN, the ILO and the Council of Europe. The website includes the full text of its constitution (statuts) and a selection of conference papers and speeches.
The Boston College International and Comparative Law Review is a biannual journal publishing commentary on international and EU law issues. It includes articles by both students and academics. Each spring issue of the journal features articles on a variety of international and comparative law topics; each winter issue is a survey of European Union developments. The British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) is a London-based organisation working in the fields of commonwealth law, comparative law, European law, international law and conflict of laws. BIICL was established in 1958, incorporating the Grotius Society and Society of Comparative Legislation. The website describes the institute's aims and activities focusing on the international rule of law and legal order, human rights and the development of international commercial and financial law.
