Sark Chief Pleas

Website of the Government of Sark, the smallest of the four major Channel Islands, and part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. There is information about the island's legislature, the Chief Pleas Assembly, including committee reports, minutes, and agendas going back to 2005. Details of the Chief Pleas committees are also given. Official forms are provided, together with recent items published in the Sark Gazette Officielle. Sark legislation is available via a link to the Guernsey Legal Resources website.

States of Alderney Government

Website of the Government of Alderney, the third largest of the Channel Islands. Alderney is a self-governing crown dependency which forms part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The website explains the Island's constitutional position, its relationship with the United Kingdom, the role of the States of Alderney (the legislature) which consists of a President and ten States Members and the Alderney States Committees.

Judicial Greffe

Website for the States of Jersey Judicial Greffe, the government department responsible for providing "administrative and secretarial services to the Island's Courts" and delivering information services relating to the Courts to the legal profession and public. The site presents outline information on the role and work of each section comprising the Judicial Greffe, including the: Appellate section, Family section, Probate section, Public registry, and Samedi section, supported by online HTML versions of guidance notes issued by the department. Staff contact lists are also included.

Jersey Law Commission

The Jersey Law Commission is responsible for the review and development of law and the legal justice system in the Channel Island of Jersey. Research topics have covered areas such as: the Law of Real Property, Law of Contract and Law of Tutelles. The site contains a number of online documents in HTML format, including selected Consultation Papers from 1998 onwards, Topic Reports, and Annual Reports from 1996 onwards.

Guernsey Legal Resources

The Guernsey Legal Resources website is a joint initiative of the Royal Court of Guernsey and the Law Officers of the Crown. The site a range of materials, including laws of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and the Bailiwick of Guernsey (the latter consists of the three jurisdictions of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark) and ordinances for Guernsey and Sark. The Guernsey Law Reports 2003 to 2012 are available, with indexes by case (reported and cited), subject and legislation cited.

Jersey and Guernsey Law Review

Open access online version of the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review (formerly the Jersey Law Review), on the Jersey Legal Information Board website. The journal is published three times a year, and all issues published more than 12 months ago are available. Articles cover a range of legal topics, with some consideration of the influences of English and French law on the development of Jersey law and legal systems in the Channel Islands. A cumulative subject index, notes for contributors, subscription information and details of the current editorial board are provided.
