Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations

The Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations is produced by the University of Cardiff. It covers journals, law reports and other legal publications from the UK, Ireland, Commonwealth jurisdictions and the United States, including titles covering international and comparative law. The index can be searched by title or by abbreviation, and filtered by jurisdiction. Results provide the official abbreviation, alternative abbreviations, the ISSN and the jurisdiction to which the publication belongs.

Artlaw

Online version of the Artlaw column from Art Monthly, which is written by barrister Henry Lydiate. The archive, which is hosted by the Artquest website, goes back to 1976. It can be browsed by topic, including art after death, artists' resale right, censorship, contracts, copyright, money, public policy and commissions, studios, and ways of working. There is also a keyword search facility. Artquest is an information hub for artists.

Advicenow

The Advicenow resource guide brings together information and tools on matters relating to the law and civil rights in England and Wales. Information is available on topics including benefits, debt, employment, families, going to court, health and social care, housing and homelessness and immigration. Self-help tools are provided to assist with writing letters relating to benefits and there are details of training courses and workshops to help people dealing with common legal problems. Advicenow's research publications and reports are also available.

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is involved in combating illicit drugs and international crime. The website describes its work, which encompasses areas such as the reform of criminal justice systems and prisons as well as fighting marine piracy, corruption, human trafficking, terrorism and money laundering. A database of national legislation on drug control, the Legal Library, can be found on the site, together with a collection of model laws and a page of treaties related to drugs, crime and terrorism.
