London Court of International Arbitration

The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) is one of the longest-established international institutions for the resolution of commercial disputes. Its website describes its history, structure and work. The LCIA Rules are available in English, Arabic, French, Chinese, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian and Russian. Model arbitration, alternative dispute resolution and mediation clauses for contracts are also provided (in English only), together with the LCIA Mediation Procedure. Information about symposia and conferences, news, contacts and FAQs are also offered by the site.

Criminal Justice System

Section of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) website covering the criminal justice system in England and Wales. Intended for the general public, the pages describe the stages of a criminal case from the reporting of a crime to the court verdict, explain how the CPS decides whether or not to prosecute, and give an overview of other official bodies and organisations working in the field of criminal justice.

British Employment Law

Internet site dedicated to UK employment law materials and matters, developed by DiscLaw Publishing Ltd and designed for employers, employees, lawyers and other professionals. The site is divided into a professional area with chargeable password access providing indexed and annotated copies of relevant legislation, forms and commentary by employment law experts and a free area with extracts from and index to the full service. The free section also features a service for locating UK solicitors with employment law expertise.

Scottish Parliament

Official website of the Scottish Parliament, covering its history, procedures, news, publications, MSPs (Members of the Scottish Parliament) and parliamentary business.  Current and previous bills are available, together with the Official Report (the record of what was said in Parliament and in public committee sessions), committee reports, parliamentary questions and other information.

Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service

This website provides an access point to information relating to all civil and criminal courts within Scotland, including the Court of Session, the High Court of Justiciary, the Sheriff Courts and a number of other courts, commissions and tribunals as well as the District courts. There is information about the different courts including location details, contact numbers, details of judges and recent judgments. Links are given to the various tribunal websites.

Journal of Law, Social Justice and Global Development

The Journal of Law, Social Justice and Global Development, formerly Law, Social Justice and Global Development, or 'LGD' (ISSN 1467-0437), is an international open access e-journal focusing on the impact of globalisation on social development. Established in 2000, it is based at the University of Warwick in the UK. The website currently makes available issues from 2017 onwards.

New Law Journal

Web pages for the New Law Journal, long established weekly news journal of legal happenings, practice, scholarship and debate, published by LexisNexis Butterworths. The site offers the contents of the latest issue only, with very limited online items in HTML format. An annual index of articles published in the print journal from 1997 onwards is also available. The site includes details of back copy ordering and subscriptions.

Infolaw

The Infolaw service, produced by legal publishing consultant Nick Holmes, provides a gateway to the UK legal web. The 'Lawfinder' section provides free access to legal resources by subject or by jurisdiction, and a directory of legal services and links to law blogs. The site also sells precedents and provides Continuing Professional Development for practitioners, for a fee.
