This website provides decisions of the Italian Council of State and of the Regional Administrative Tribunals (TARs). Decisions can be searched by date or decision number. The site also has reports and minutes of meetings of the Council of the Presidency. The site is in Italian only.

Consulta Online

Consulta Online is a website providing information about the Italian Constitutional Court, produced by Professor Pasquale Costanzo of the University of Genoa. The site has full-text decisions of the Constitutional Court back to 1970. The Italian Constitution also available, along with other constitutional laws. There are also links to related websites. The site is almost wholly in Italian only, but background notes about the Court, and copies of the Constitution, are provided in English, French, German and Arabic.

Italian Constitutional Court

Official website of the Italian Constitutional Court. This site includes information about the work of the court including brief biographical details of its President, Vice President and judges. A calendar of public hearings and closed sessions is given along with court pronouncements and summaries (in Italian only) of judgements back to 1956. Recent judgements (from 2006 onwards), felt to be of interest to foreign users, can be viewed in English in full text.

Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques

Website of the Italian Istituto di Teoria e Tecniche dell'Informazione Giuridica (ITTIG) (Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques) which was established in 2002. The ITTG carries out "research, specialized training, consultancy and technical-scientific transferal in the field of information and communications technology applied to law and public administration." The site gives details of research projects and publications, consultancy work and courses offered by the Institute.

Istituto dell'Autodisciplina Pubblicitaria

The Website of the Istituto dell'Autodisciplina Pubblicitaria (IAP) is an online resource providing information about the organisation's responsibilities and the Code of Marketing Communication. As a founding member of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), the IAP is committed to advertising self regulation within its own country and the European Union. The site gives the full-text of the Code which governs its members' practice.

Codex Alimentarius Commission

Website of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, set up by the FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and codes of practice. The website provides detailed background and historical information relating to Codex and food standards. Statutes and rules of procedure of Codex are made available and members of the Commission can be browsed by region or country. A calendar of events gives details of forthcoming meetings and reports of Codex committees and task forces can be viewed in PDF format.

Common Core of Private European Law

The Common Core of Private European Law is a project based at the University of Trento in Italy, involving academics from Europe and the United States. The aim of the project is to analyse the private law of EU member states in order to establish the common elements. The site explains the background and methodology of the project and includes copies of the survey questionnaires used in its work. Relevant books by members of the project are listed.

UNILEX

UNILEX is a browsable database produced by the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). It contains case law and bibliographies relating to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts. The text of each instrument is provided, along with a list of participating countries. The cases are arranged by date, country, arbitral award and by article and issues.

Minority Rights Information System

Website of the Minority Rights Information System (MIRIS), hosted by the European Academy of Bolzano (EURAC), a research institute established in Italy in 1992. The database provides information on the implementation of minority rights in the member states of the Council of Europe and includes national legislation and case-law, international treaties and agreements of the UN, Council of Europe and the OSCE, case studies and specific documents on minority groups. Texts are made available in English and the official language of the state concerned.

Code of Canon Law

Online version of the Roman Catholic Code of Canon Law, provided by IntraText, an open-access digital library. The Code is the most recent compilation of ecclesiastical law for the Roman Catholic church, revised in 1983 and made up of 1,752 canons in 7 books. Canon law is the law of the Church's courts and includes rules for the governance and regulation of the clergy and the church. The website includes concordances and word lists which can be ordered alphabetically or by frequency of occurrence.
