Cornell Death Penalty Project

The Cornell Death Penalty Project is based at the Cornell Law School in New York. The aim of the Project is to foster "scholarship related to the death penalty and its administration". The Project conducts research and sponsors a clinic enabling students to assist with the representation of capital defendants. The site includes details of clinic case studies and a list of articles on the death penalty written by faculty members. Links are given to the full articles which are made available on subscription services, Westlaw and Lexis Nexis.

Columbia Science and Technology Law Review

The Columbia Science and Technology Law Review (STLR) is published annually by the University of Columbia Law School in the United States. The journal is focused on the legal aspects of science and technology issues and recent articles have covered topics such as data mining and domestic security, patent law, FDA regulation of nanomedicine and competition policy in the telecoms industry. Abstracts are provided for all articles and the full-text can be viewed in PDF. Issues of STLR are available online back to volume 7 2005- 2006.

Chicago Journal of International Law

The Chicago Journal of International Law (CJIL) is published twice yearly by the University of Chicago Law School. It is an interdisciplinary publication covering international law and policy. Contents pages for every issue of the journal are available on the CJIL website and abstracts are provided for most of the earlier articles, but the full text is available to subscribers only. The website also gives details of the CJIL Management Board and staff members.

Center for Comparative Constitutionalism

The Center for Comparative Constitutionalism (CCC) at the University of Chicago is concerned with the study of constitutional rights and "the wide range of ways in which societies attempt to secure constitutional rights to their citizens." The CCC's website gives details of the Center's projects and events including study papers which can be downloaded in PDF format and lectures which can be heard in RealOne Player or Quicktime Player (both of which can be freely downloaded on the site).

United States Reports

This part of the United States Supreme Court website provides access to PDF copies of the Supreme Court's bound volumes of opinions. These are the final versions of Supreme Court opinions and are only made available online once the printed versions have been published. Currently available online are U.S. Reports from the October 1991 term through to the October 2005 term. Opinions are made available in full along with related materials such as orders, Federal Rules of Procedure, details of Justices and Court officers, indexes and statistical information.

Secretariat for Legal Affairs, Organization of American States

The Secretariat for Legal Affairs forms part of the Organization for American States (OAS) providing advice and legal services to the OAS in the field of public international law and private international law. The OAS is a regional forum for dialogue and cooperation on political, economic and social issues in the Americas. The site explains the work of the Inter-American Specialized Conferences on Private International Law (CIDIP) who produce international instruments such as conventions, protocols, uniform documents and model laws which are provided on the site.

Education Law Association

Web pages of the US Education Law Association (ELA) which is based at the University of Dayton's School of Education in Ohio. The ELA is a non-profit organisation whose members include educational and legal scholars and practitioners. The site has information about ELA publications including yearbooks, newsletters, case citations, monographs and conference materials. There are also details of ELA events and other education law related events and a page of links to other education law websites. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

National Agricultural Law Center

The National Agricultural Law Center is based at the University of Arkansas School of Law in the United States. The Center conducts legal research and provides information facilities. The site includes a collection of articles, an agricultural law bibliography, a glossary and a newsletter called The Agricultural Law Reporter. There are links to US Farm Bills going back to 1938, including the legislative history and background information. Other sections of the site provide details of the Graduate Program in Agricultural Law and links to other agriculture related organisations.

American Agricultural Law Association

Website of the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA)which describes itself as "the only national professional organization focusing on the legal needs of the agricultural community." The site has organisational information, details of conferences and events and a selection of resource links to other agricultural law websites. A link is given to an online bibliography compiled by the AALA and hosted on the National Center for Agricultural Law at the University of Arkansas School of Law website. There is information on joining the AALA and on their in-house newsletter, Aglaw Update.
