TLQ is aimed at travel industry professionals, lawyers and students and covers topics such as “travel agency, tour operations, cruise law, air law, timeshare, hotel law as well as the regulation and licensing of the travel industry”. The full journal is available by subscription but TLQ Online, which provides additional content, is freely available on the website.

Nanotechnology and International Law Research Guide

Online guide to nanotechnology and its relation to international law written by Mohammad Ershadul Karim who is a  Senior Lecture at the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya. The guide was published in 2014 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide provides an introduction and history to nanotechnology. There are links to nanotechnology databases, United Nations publications, European initiatives and other organisations concerned with nanotechnology.

UNCTAD Investment Dispute Settlement Navigator

Compilation of information about pending and concluded arbitrations from 1987 onwards, provided on the UNCTAD website. ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and other cases are covered. For concluded cases, the information provided includes dates, parties and countries, the type of investment, the legal instrument involved, the arbitration rules/venue, brief details of the decision, the amount sought and the amount awarded. Cambridge Journal of International and Comparative Law

Open-access online journal published three times a year by the University of Cambridge. The Journal was first published in 2012; it covers international and comparative law and related domestic, regional, transnational and international legal regimes. An annual special issue is devoted to analysing the work of the UK Supreme Court in the previous judicial year. Contributions are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The CJICL website provides all issues of the journal free of charge, in pdf format. The site also has a blog and gives details of the Journal’s annual conference

The Tallinn Manual

The ‘Tallinn Manual on the International Law Applicable to Cyber Warfare’ is the outcome of three years’ work by an independent group of international law experts - scholars and practitioners - on the application of existing norms of international law to cyber warfare. It is made up of rules of customary international law developed and adopted by the group of experts, annotated with commentary. It is available free of charge on the website of NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCD COE); it was also published by Cambridge University Press, in 2013.

Collected Travaux Préparatoires

Directory of travaux préparatoires (preparatory documents) for treaties, provided by the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale University. Lists travaux préparatoires that have been published in printed form and/or online. Includes contents pages for many items and has links to some full-text documents. The directory is an ongoing project and new contributions are invited.

Researching League of Nations Documents

Guide to researching the documentation of the League of Nations, by Gabriela Femenia, Foreign and International Law Library at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biddle Law Library. The research guide was published in 2012 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. It covers the types of documents produced by the League of Nation and their reference numbers and discusses print, microfilm and electronic sources of these documents.

International investment agreements navigator

Free database of around 2,800 international investment agreements (IIAs), compiled by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Covers both bilateral investment treaties (BITs) and multilateral agreements. Users may browse by 'economy' (meaning 'country') or by international organisation; there is also a search facility. Dates of signature and entry into force are available, together with the text of each agreement; many are available in English even where there are no English-speaking parties. (At the time of writing, the interactive map on this site did not appear to work.)

Canada Treaty Information

Official website published by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, to explain the treaty-making process and policy in Canada, with definitions of treaties and details of how treaties are published. There is also an introduction to the work of the Treaty Law Division of Canada. A list of Canadian treaties is presented, which can be searched and displayed by treaty type (bilateral, multilateral, and plurilateral) or by text words or subject matter. The entry for each treaty indicates the place and date of signature, the date of entry into force, parties, and subject matter.
