Section of the official World Intellectual Property Organisation website, publishing treaties and conventions administered by the Organisation, including the convention establishing WIPO, WIPO copyright treaty, Paris Convention, Berne Convention, Rome Convention, Madrid Agreement and Locarno Agreement. The collection is organised into three groups including intellectual property protection treaties, global protection system treaties and classification treaties which create the classification systems that organise information relating to inventions, trademarks and industrial designs etc.

Website of specialist IP law firm, R.G. C. Jenkins & Co. , whose head office is in London. The News and Publications section includes reports, factsheets, briefings and a newsletter called Patent Issues, together with links to UK IP legislation.

Journal of Intellectual Property Law

Website for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, edited by students of the University of Georgia School of Law. The journal is published biannually, and focuses on issues of interest to the intellectual property legal community, including patent, trademark, copyright, unfair trade, entertainment and other related topics. The journal includes scholarly articles from leading academics and practising lawyers, as well as student notes. The site includes tables of contents for the current issue, and full-text of the previous issues, although some issues have been omitted completely.

Journal of Intellectual Property

Website of the Journal of Intellectual Property, published 3 times a year by students at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. The journal began in Spring 1999 and provides full text articles from this date onwards. The journal aims to include articles on copyright, patents, trademark law, and trade secrets. The website offers pages on intellectual property issues, which summarise news, cases and developments on these subjects, with links where possible to full-text of cases and statutes.

Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law

The Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law (JSTL) is an electronic journal available in full-text (PDF) online. The journal is published twice a year. It features articles, notes and legal updates, publishing practical scholarship from experts in the areas of biotechnology, computers and communications, intellectual property, technology transfer and business law for technology-based companies. JSTL is edited by students at the Boston University School of Law examining all aspects of the relationship between science, technology and the law.

Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review

Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review is an exclusively online law journal. The Review's primary purpose is to examine the tensions created by advances in computing, telecommunications, biotechnology, multimedia, networking, information and other technologies. Founded in 1994, MTTLR was one of the first law journals to use interactive media to promote informed discourse about the interrelated legal, social, business, and public policy issues raised by emerging technologies. The website archive contains articles from volume 1 (Fall 1994 - Spring 1995) onwards.

Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys

Web pages for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, the professional body for United Kingdom patent agents. CIPA aims to provide information on all areas concerned with patents, and the areas in which patent agents act. The website includes basic information on patents, trade marks, copyright and design as well as information and news for both qualified agents and students.

IDEA: The Intellectual Property Law Review

Website of IDEA: The Intellectual Property Law Review (previously the Journal of Law and Technology) published by the Franklin Pierce Law Center, New Hampshire, USA. The journal publishes articles from around the world on topics such as US domestic and international patent law, copyright, trademark, trade secrets, unfair competition and related intellectual property issues. The website presents the full-text of articles from 1957 to 2002. Instructions to authors, information about the editorial board and subscription rates are given on the site.

Intellectual Property Office

The Intellectual Property Office is responsible for granting intellectual property (IP) rights in the United Kingdom. Its website provides information about patents, designs, trade mark, including legislation, official notices, research commissioned by the IPO, procedural forms, guidance and databases of trademarks, registered designs and patents.

J-PlatPat (Japan Platform for Patent Information)

Free searchable database with English interface providing information on Japanese patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks issued by the Japan Patent Office. Users can search a range of resources applicable to the different types of industrial property including applications, gazettes and bibliographies. A simple search option uses keyword or number searching and an advanced search provides additional parameters eg. date, classification etc. The site also has trial decisions and online help with using the database and the Japanese design classification scheme.
