This section of the AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) website provides information about the Australian Human Rights Centre (AHRCentre), an inter-disciplinary research and teaching institute based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The Centre is engaged in research and teaching on Australian and international human rights law and publishes the Australian Journal of Human Rights and the Human Rights Defender.

Visiting the Senegalese legal system and legal research: a human rights perspective

The article was published in 2009 on New York University's Globalex website. It gives an overview of the Senegalese legal system and guidance on researching the law of Senegal. The Global Network Initiative (GNI) is a coalition of tech companies, human rights organisations, academics, investors and technology leaders whose purpose is to protect and advance freedom of expression and privacy in the technology sector. Its website sets out the 'GNI Principles' on protecting and promoting freedom of expression and privacy and has has guidance for companies on putting these principles into practice.

International Legal Assistance Consortium

Legacy website of the International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC), a rule of law NGO that was active from 2002 to 2025. An umbrella organisation of bar associations, law societies, individuals and other associations of legal and human rights experts, ILAC was concerned with the rebuilding of legal systems in post-conflict societies. Its website is being maintained as a repository for its research: reports, rule of law assessments, policy briefings and discussion papers.

Forced evictions and disability rights in Africa

Online article looking at forced evictions and disability rights in Africa written by Buhle Angelo Dube who is a lecturer at the University of Swaziland's Law Department. The article was published in 2008 (and updated in 2023 by Sibusiso Nhlabatsi) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The first section explains the background to forced evictions and their impact in Africa and focuses on this practice in Ghana, Swaziland and Botswana.

The Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) provides information on human rights in Haiti, brings court cases and works with other human rights groups in Haiti and abroad. The site gives details of IJDH's activities regarding access to justice, immigration, Haitian democracy, accountability for abuses by international actors, women's rights, and human rights litigation. It also provides , news updates, statements, open letters and reports.
