Official website for the Federal Court of Canada, providing brief background information on the history, constitution and jurisdiction of the Court along with biographies of the Federal Court judges. Background information is also given to the Canadian courts and justice system. Links to the full-text of the Canada Federal Court Reports since 1993 are provided, as are a site search engine and search and browse options for the decisions. Federal Court rules, forms, practice guides and relevant guides are additionally made available in full text.

Canada Gazette

The Canada Gazette is the official bulletin of the Government of Canada. It publishes acts of Parliament, regulations, government notices and public notices from private sector bodies. Since 1 April 2003, the pdf version of the Canada Gazette has had the same official status as the print edition. The website, which is in French and English, provides access to the Gazette from 1998 onwards. Users can subscribe to an RSS feed.

Canadian Journal of Family Law

Website for the academic journal, Canadian Journal of Family Law, edited by Faculty of Law staff at the University of British Columbia. The journal is dedicated to family law and legal issues associated with domestic relations, and published twice a year. Articles focus on both Canadian federal and provincial law drawing on relevant caselaw. The site presents contents and abstracts of articles from Volume 1 no.1 (January 1978) onwards to date.

Les Cahiers de Droit

Website for Les Cahiers de Droit, a legal review established in 1954 at Laval University Law faculty in Quebec, aiming to promote the development and evolution of legal sciences in Quebec and intended for practitioners and legal scholars. Four issues are published annually presenting articles on legal doctrine and bibliographic chronicles with an annual thematic issue offering a critical assessment of the state of law in Quebec, Canada and internationally. Appeal : Review of Current Law and Law Reform

Appeal is a student law review from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, British Columbia, Canada, published annually from 1995 onwards. The review publishes articles from students across Canada, providing a perspective on current legal issues from future Canadian lawyers and legislators. The site includes subscription details and a style guide for authors. Full text is now available through Westlaw and LexisNexis.

Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta

The Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta (CPLEA) is an electronic service that brings together people, information and educational resources on Canadian justice and legal issues. It is available in English and French, with a special section for Alberta. The site has links to official sources of Canadian legislative materials including statutes, bills and case law. It also offers a resource centre including educational materials for the classroom and access to legal newspapers, and other reference and publicly available information.

Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada

The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada is an independent tribunal established in 1989 by the Canadian Parliament to make decisions on immigration and refugee matters. Its main concerns are handling immigration appeals and claims for refugee status and providing information on Canadian immigration law. Its website describes the function of the IRB and contains its current press releases and annual reports from 1995 onwards. It also offers updates on current Canadian immigration law and the immigration appeals process.

Department of Justice Canada

The Department of Justice Canada is a government department with the mission of ensuring an accessible, efficient and fair system of justice and providing legal services to the government, its departments and agencies. This site gives information about the department's structure and provides links to the full-texts of Canada's consolidated statutes and regulations as well as departmental publications, and a list of helpful links to related websites. The site is available in English and French.

Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP)

The Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP) is an independent, not-for-profit research and education organization. CIELAP's mission is "to develop and advance proposals for the reform of environmental law and public policy." The site provides access to full text copies of articles in the CIELAP newsletter, details of how to become an associate member and a list of publications for sale.
