Norfolk Island Regional Council

Website of the Norfolk Island Regional Council the body set up to replace the Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly (under which the Island was self-governed) in 2016. Norfolk Island is an external Australian territory in the Pacific ocean with most Australian Commonwealth laws including taxation, social security, immigration, biosecurity, customs and health covering the Island. The Council provides a range of local services including broadcasting, courts and legal services, planning and development and registry of land, companies, births, deaths and marriages.

Queensland Reports

Website of the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for the State of Queensland (ICLRQ). The ICLRQ publish the Queensland Reports and provide information about this subscription publication on the site. A number of free resources are also available including the Queensland Law Reporter (QLR) which is available online back to 2012. ICLRQ offer a Key Decisions Database providing summaries of key recent judgments of the Supreme Court of Queensland prior to their publication in the Queensland Reports. The judgements are arranged by subject and include a link to the full judgement.

Queensland Caselaw

Caselaw is a database of the Supreme Court Library Queensland providing free access to decisions of the Queensland Courts and Tribunals. All judgements of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court Criminal Division (from 2000 onwards) appear on the site and selected judgements from the District Court, Magistrates Court, Children’s Court and others are available. Decisions can be searched or browsed by individual court or across the whole database and downloaded in full.

Parliament of Australia: Parliamentary Library

Website of the Australian Parliamentary Library which is part of the Department of Parliamentary Services. The Library supports the work of the Australian Parliament and provides services to “senators, members, their staff, the staff of parliamentary departments and the Governor-General”. The Library produce Bills Digests to provide background information and highlight the purpose of the bill and key issues for members. Bills Digests can be searched or browsed and read in full on the site.

Copyright Tribunal of Australia

Website of the Australian Copyright Tribunal which is an independent body administered by the Federal Court of Australia. The Tribunal’s jurisdiction covers statutory and voluntary copyright licences and the site includes full text decisions back to 1981. There is also a list of Tribunal members and links to Australian copyright legislation and other intellectual property resources.

Australian Competition Tribunal

Website of the Australian Competition Tribunal which is a review body managed by the Federal Court of Australia. The Tribunal hears applications for review of determinations of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission concerning issues such as exclusive dealing and company mergers and acquisitions. The site includes a list of members, practice directions, links to full text competition legislation and documents relating to some of the cases being dealt with by the Tribunal. Full text decisions back to 1997 are also made freely available on the site.

Anti-Discrimination Tribunal Queensland

An AustLII web database, containing selected decisions from the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal. The database contains full-text decisions in HTML format from 1992 until 2009. Comprehensive search facilities, alphabetical browse index, and list of recent cases are available. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute has been developed by the University of Technology in Sydney to provide public access to primary legal materials.
