Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation

Based in India, it was established in 1956 under the name Asian Legal Consultative Committee. The website describes the constitution, aims and work of the Organisation. Asian Law Institute

Website of the Asian Law Institute (ASLI) which was set up in March 2003 to "facilitate academic exchanges as well as research and teaching collaboration among law schools in Asia". ASLI is based at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore. The site gives details of the Board of Governors and Fellows of the Institute along with details of conferences and abstracts of seminars held at ASLI.

International Center for Transitional Justice

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an organisation working with countries where there have been mass atrocities or abuses of human rights. The site outlines the Center's research, training and legal and policy analysis and makes available its reports, briefings and other publications. The organisation has initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.The site is in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Al-Islam.Org: Digital Islamic Library

Al-Islam.Org is a special project of the Ahlul Bayt Digital Islamic Library Project (DILP). It aims to digitise and present on the Internet quality Islamic resources, related to the history, law, religious practice, and society of the Islamic religion and the Muslim peoples with particular emphasis on Twelver Shia Islamic school of thought. It is divided into a number of subject areas where users can find links to articles, papers, presentations and reports. Topics of interest to social scientists include: Islamic law, Islamic philosophy and Islam and politics.

International Trade in Agricultural Products: A Research Guide

The guide was published in the features section of LLRX.com in April 2004 and provides an introduction to key sources for researching international agricultural trade law. The guide has background information to international organisations and agreements and to relevant agencies of the United Nations.

Inter-Pacific Bar Association

Website of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) an international organisation of lawyers who have an interest, or are based, in the Asia-Pacific region. The IPBA was established in 1991 and focuses on business and commercial law. The site gives background information about the IPBA including a copy of its Constitution, details of officers and events. There is information on the work of the various committees which cover international trade, aerospace, energy, environmental and maritime law.

Asian Law Centre

Website of the Asian Law Centre at the University of Melbourne. The Centre promotes the teaching of Asian law in Australia and seeks to increase the understanding of Australian law in Asia. The site provides information about courses, research, events, and details of work in progress at the Asian Law Centre. There is free access to the Centre's bibliographic database, Asian Law Online, and a list of research links which can be searched by country. There is access to the contents and abstracts of the Australian Journal of Asian Law, and to the Melbourne Asia Policy Papers

Asian Law Online

Asian Law Online is a bibliographic database produced by the Asian Law Centre at the University of Melbourne School of Law. It comprises references to English-language books, journal articles, theses and book chapters. The database can be browsed by subject and country, or searched by keyword and other criteria. Some records give catalogue references for materials available at the University of Melbourne Library and others link to materials available on subscription services.
