Virginia General Assembly Legislative Information System

Description:

Website provided by the US State of Virginia's General Assembly, offering a large amount of information about the laws of Virginia and the legislative process. For the current Assembly session and for previous sessions back to 1994, the site makes available information about legislation in progress, minutes of proceedings, statistics and other information. There are also seven searchable databases: Bills & Resolutions (current session); Bill Summaries (current session); the Constitution of Virginia; the Code of Virginia; the Virginia Administrative Code; Reports to the General Assembly; and the Rules of the Supreme Court. All are searchable, and the first five databases each have either a subject index or a table of contents which can be browsed. The Reports database has a chronological index of reports from 1897 onwards; from around 1990 onwards the full text of each report is available, with an executive summary.
