Guide to Legal Research in Belarus

Description:

An article offering an outline of the legal system and notes on legal materials for the Republic of Belarus in Eastern Europe. The guide has been written by Nadia Shalygina, Director of the International Law Library in Minsk. The guide was published in 2005 and updated in 2008 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author gives brief explanations of the history and structure of the Republic's Government, Presidency, legal and judicial systems, with reference to legal documentation, official publications and Internet resources. This is an updated version of the guide published in 2002 on LLRX.com (Law Library Resource Xchange) a free online web journal for legal information professionals.
