Research guide to cases and materials on terrorism

Description:

Guide to researching the law relating to terrorism, by Andrew Grossman, a retired US Foreign Service Officer and lawyer. The guide was published in 2006 (and updated in 2022) on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides a definition of terrorism, an introduction to the subject and links to general sources of information including the websites of international organisations, NGOs and universities. Selected online materials including cases and articles are given for relevant aspects of the law covering organised crime, membership of a proscribed organisation, product tampering, use of chemical agents, crimes against foreign missions, treason, passive support of terrorism and state terrorism. The guide also covers human rights issues, refugee law and looks at the links between religion and terrorism. There is also a section on counter terrorism and human rights and a selection of legislation and case law arranged by country.
