Official web pages of the Legal Information System of the Republic of Austria, co-ordinated and operated by the Austrian Federal Chancellery. At present, five sections of the Legal Information System are available on the Internet free of charge: database of Austrian federal law, database of state law, the case law, with full-text of the rulings, of the Administrative Court and of the Constitutional Court, and the norm list of the Administrative Court (the list of citation of regulations). The full-text of the Federal Law Gazette is available, from the 1983 edition onwards.

National Native Title Tribunal

Website of the Australian National Native Title Tribunal, a government body which helps the making of agreements among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, governments, industry and others whose rights or interests may co-exist with native title rights and interests. The Tribunal is not a court; its role is as facilitator and mediator. The site gives details of Tribunal members and has factsheets on native title and common law in Australia. Policies and procedures documents are available for both clients and staff, as is advice on how to apply for a determination of native title.

Oikeusministeri: Ministry of Justice, Finland

Web pages of the Finnish Ministry of Justice in Helsinki. The pages are in Finnish, and some pages are in English or Swedish. The Ministry is responsible for legal policy, statute policy and the administration of justice in Finland. Particular duties of the Ministry include the drafting of laws, safeguarding the work of the judiciary, the punishment of offenders, and participating in the making of EU legislation. An organisational chart is included in English, and current legal news items are also available.

Genocide Watch

Web pages of Genocide Watch, a non-governmental organisation based in Canada. Genocide Watch seeks to confront and counteract acts of gender-selective mass killing, such as female infanticide, by raising public awareness, doing research and producing educational resources. Several case studies are available on the site, giving background information, some maps, photographs and accounts of cases of gendercide in Kossovo, Srebrenica, Rwanda, Montreal, maternal mortality and female infanticide, among others.

Gambling Commission

The Gaming Commission (formerly know as the Gaming Board of Great Britain) is responsible for the regulation of gambling in the UK. This covers all forms of lotteries, gaming machines, betting, casinos, bingo and the National Lottery. The website provides free access to information about the remit and activities of the Commission. It includes press releases, regulations, legislation and information on licenses relating to all forms of gambling. The site also includes some government sponsored research papers on problem gamblers and gambling addiction.

Hansard

The official report of the proceedings of the UK Parliament, known as Hansard, available on the Parliament website. House of Commons debates, statements and written answers are provided from November 1988 onwards and House of Lords debates, statements and so on from November 1995 onwards; there is also a link to an archive of digitised Hansard from 1803 to 2005. Hansard on the Parliament website may be browsed by date, MP or peer and other criteria, but there is no search facility.

North Carolina General Statutes

Collection of General Statutes for the US State of North Carolina, on the North Carolina General Assembly website. A table of contents lists statutes in chapter number order with links to texts in HTML, PDF and RTF formats. The statutes are updated to 2007. A free text search box with tips on searching is also provided.

Constitution, Statutes and Session Laws of Maine

Official website from the Maine State Legislature, Office of the Revisor of Statutes, making the text of Revised Statutes for the US State of Maine freely available on the web. The site presents the text of the statutes in codified form current to December 31, 2007. A browsable table of contents links to specific titles. A statute search by title, section or phrase is also provided. In addition, the site publishes the text of the Maine Constitution and Session Laws for 1997 to 2007 - browsable by chapter or accessible via search box. Tips on searching are provided.

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers

Website of ICANN, a technical coordination body for the internet. It is a non-profit corporation which coordinates the assignment of IP addresses, domain names, and protocol parameters. The site has organisational information, details of staff members and news items including an archive of ICANN's weekly newsletter. There is information on current and past topics the organisation is concerned with, details of committees and working groups and financial information.
