Researching Irish Law

A commentary and bibliographic resource guide concerned with Irish law, legal materials and research written by Dr Darius Whelan, Lecturer in Law at University College Cork in Ireland. The guide was published on the Globalex website in 2005 and updated in 2025 by Dr Deirdre Leahy. It is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide presents an overview of Irish law with reference to the essential print, electronic and free Web sources.

Gammel's The Laws of Texas 1822-1897

Digitised version Gammel's 'The Laws of Texas', provided by the Government Documents Department of the University of North Texas Libraries. Gammel's work is a compilation of the laws of the US State of Texas from 1822 to 1897, including early colonisation laws, constitutions, congressional sessions, legislative sessions and select journals. The site has been designed to replicate a traditional page-by-page reading experience and includes a digitised version of the original Analytical Index, which is arranged alphabetically.

Texts adopted by the Congress of local and regional authorities

Collection of legal texts adopted by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE) and its forerunner, the Standing Conference of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe. The Congress is an institution of the Council of Europe (CoE) and the texts are on the CoE website. The collection comprises: resolutions and opinions (1957- ); conventions and charters; recommendations (1994 - ); the Council of Ministers' replies to recommendations (2003 - ); and the final declarations adopted at the close of international conferences and meetings.

European Commission for Democracy through Law

The European Commission for Democracy through Law, known as the Venice Commission, is a Council of Europe body that was established in 1990. Originally set up to assist Eastern European countries in the re-engineering of their constitutions, it now monitors and provides assistance to countries all around the world and has more than 60 member states. The website outlines the Commission's activities, which include providing advice and training to individual states on constitutional matters, elections and referendums and constitutional justice.

Harvard Law School Library Research Guides

A series of legal research guides devised by staff at Harvard Law School Library and made freely available in HTML format. The guides suggest approaches to legal research relating to particular topics or jurisdictions, with bibliographic references to print materials held locally and web based resources where appropriate. The guides are grouped under headings for General Library Research, United States Law Research and International, Foreign and Comparative Law Research.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon

This is the official website of the Prime Minister of Cameroon. It provides a profile of the Prime Minister, copies of speeches (in French) and details of activities. Biographies are given for other members of the government and there is background information on Cameroon including an outline of the legal system, the economy and tourism. Legislation can be viewed in full text on the site in French only.

Presidence de la Republique du Cameroun

This is the official website of the President of the Republic of Cameroon. It provides access to a biography of the current incumbent and details of their recent activities. The latter includes news of official engagements, press releases and communiques which cover current economic, social, political and foreign policy. Also accessible are recent issues of Le Magasin du Palais which describe recent political events. Users should note that currently most information is offered in French only.

European Civil Aviation Conference

The European Civil Aviation Conference aims to "promote the continued development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system." The site gives details of their activities; integrating new member states from Eastern and Central Europe, safety, security, improving Air Traffic Management and liaising with representatives of the civil aviation industry outside Europe. The news section has press releases, there are details of forthcoming events and a quarterly magazine. These publications and other documentation is in downloadable PDF format.
